About the NBA fantasy rankings

How are the NBA fantasy rankings for 2026-27 built?

Every rostered player is projected from his own game logs, three seasons weighted toward this one, with projected games, a floor and a ceiling. A points board scores DraftKings and FanDuel; the nine-category board uses z-scores across points, rebounds, assists, steals, blocks, threes, field-goal and free-throw percentage and turnovers. Rookies join once they play.

What is the difference between this page and the draft board?

The numbers are the same. The draft board page presents them in draft order with tiers and ADP for the weeks before tip-off; this page is the season's rankings hub, with the points and categories boards, position tabs and search, and it is the page that stays current once the games start.

How often are the basketball fantasy rankings updated?

Every morning after the projection run, and the board moves as the game logs come in once the season is under way; injuries are priced by the games they cost.

Is there a top 200 list to print?

Yes, the cheat sheet prints the board with tiers, and the CSV download carries every column of both boards.

How to read this page

Points boards use DraftKings, FanDuel or Yahoo scoring and rank by projected season total, so positions compare on one scale; the NHL, NBA and MLB boards also rank by categories (hockey: goals, assists, power-play points, shots, hits, blocks, penalty minutes, and the goalie line; basketball: nine categories; baseball: the 5x5 roto set).
Games played matters. A hot average over two games is not the same as the same average over twenty; weight the sample before you trade for the name.
