Latest news

  • Durant totaled 12 points (5-6 FG, 2-3 FT), three rebounds, three assists, one block and two steals across 33 minutes during Monday's 109-93 win over the Celtics.

Durant was nearly flawless from the field but attempted only six shots as Alperen Sengun took charge of Houston's offense with 26 points and 10 assists. Despite the limited scoring opportunities, Durant salvaged some fantasy value with three defensive contributions. His unusually low shot volume is worth monitoring, though he remains a reliable offensive option in Houston's crowded rotation.

  • Durant finished with 28 points (9-20 FG, 1-6 3Pt, 9-13 FT), five rebounds and one assist over 37 minutes in Friday's 116-111 loss to Dallas.

With Alperen Sengun (back) sidelined for the second consecutive contest, Durant was more involved offensively than usual, ending the night with a season-high 20 shot attempts. While the 38-year-old was inefficient from deep Friday, that should be considered an isolated incident, as he has shot 42.3 percent from behind the arc in his first six appearances of the 2026-27 campaign.

  • Durant contributed 18 points (5-9 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 6-7 FT), five rebounds, four assists and three blocks in 31 minutes during Wednesday's 132-100 victory over the Bucks.

Even with Alperen Sengun sitting out with a back issue, Durant didn't see a noticeable boost. The 38-year-old Durant has looked spry in the early going, putting up at least 18 points, four rebounds and two assists in each of his first five appearances.

  • Durant ended Saturday's 121-114 win over the Hawks with 22 points (8-15 FG, 3-7 3Pt, 3-3 FT), four rebounds, two assists and one block across 37 minutes.

The 22 points led the Rockets on the night, but the team used very balanced scoring to secure the road win -- all five starters scored at least 14 points, and Tari Eason dropped 19 off the bench as well. Durant is looking a little more comfortable to begin his second season with Houston, scoring at least 20 points in all three games so far and averaging 24.0 points, 5.7 boards, 3.7 assists and 2.3 threes while shooting what would be a career-high 56.1 percent from the floor and 53.8 percent (7-for-13) from three-point range.
