About Verdexed
Verdexed is a quantitative sports platform covering the NFL, MLB, NBA, and NHL: win probabilities, market edges, DFS projections, fantasy draft rankings, and a daily best-bets card — all produced by statistical models and all graded in public. This page explains who is behind it, how the content is made, and the standards it is held to.
What Verdexed is
At the core is a set of prediction models fit on years of historical games — league-specific features, point-in-time discipline so backtests can’t peek at the future, probability calibration, and a blend against the betting market’s own prices. Around the models sits a product: predictions pages, an edge board, projection-driven DFS tools, season-long draft rankings with a published decade backtest, and the nightly Model Card.
What makes the site different is not the models — it’s the accounting. Every pick is logged before games start, graded after they end, and rolled into a public record and a flat-stake units ledger under rules written down in advance on how we grade. When a backtest fails, we publish that too.
Who makes the content
Verdexed is honest about being machine-first. Articles bylined to our desks — Verdexed Staff, the league desks, Verdexed Analytics — are produced by an automated editorial pipeline: research across primary sources, synthesis, and fact-checking passes, built and supervised by the people who run the site. Data-driven pieces (rankings movement, daily picks, recaps) are generated directly from the same models and graded data the site serves, so the numbers in an article are the numbers in the product.
We think that’s a feature, not a confession: the alternative on most sports sites is a human rewriting a press release an hour later. Our desks read the primary sources, cite what is confirmed versus reported, and never invent quotes or statistics. When something gets through wrong anyway, we correct it (below).
Editorial standards
- Facts are confirmed across at least two sources or attributed tentatively (“reportedly”).
- No fabricated quotes, statistics, ADP numbers, or odds — ever.
- Injury designations are reported exactly (questionable is not out; day-to-day is not IR).
- Model claims link to the live surface that proves them, not to a screenshot.
- Published records are never edited after grading; losing streaks stay visible.
- Featured images are openly licensed, with attribution stored on the article.
Corrections
If we got a fact wrong, tell us via the support page and we’ll fix the article. Graded results are different: a grading error is corrected to what actually happened on the field, but a losing pick is never quietly deleted — that’s the whole point of the record.
How the site makes money
Two ways, both disclosed: optional paid subscription tiers for premium tools, and affiliate links to licensed sportsbooks, marked with rel="sponsored"and disclosed in the footer of every page. Affiliate relationships never influence a pick, a probability, or a graded result — the models don’t know the links exist.
Responsible play
Verdexed is an information site, not a sportsbook, and it is for adults 21 and over. Sports outcomes are uncertain; no model makes betting safe. If gambling has stopped being entertainment, call or text 1-800-GAMBLER or see our responsible gambling resources.
