  • Holland finished with 18 points (6-10 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 4-7 FT), three rebounds, two assists, four steals and one block across 22 minutes in Friday's 110-94 victory over the Nets.

Holland had more points Friday than he had in the Pistons' first five regular-season games combined. The 2024 No. 5 overall pick shot the ball well, and he also ended the night by recording a career high in steals. Holland is best known for his abilities on the defensive side of the ball. However, the 21-year-old has demonstrated he can be a viable scorer throughout his career. With Jalen Duren (hamstring) sidelined and Tobias Harris (calf) now a Spur, there is room for Holland to at least see an uptick in scoring opportunities.

  • Holland logged two points (1-8 FG, 0-3 3Pt), nine rebounds, four assists, two blocks and one steal across 23 minutes during Sunday's 106-93 win over Philadelphia.

Holland struggled to find his shooting touch but made his presence felt elsewhere, finishing one rebound shy of double digits while contributing three combined steals and blocks. The forward also played aggressive defense against Jaylen Brown, helping Detroit secure its third straight victory. With Ausar Thompson (ankle) sidelined, Holland could continue seeing increased opportunities, though his inconsistent offensive production limits his fantasy appeal.

  • The Pistons have exercised Holland's $11.5 million rookie-scale team option for the 2027-28 season, Keith Smith of Spotrac.com reports.

The move keeps the 2024 No. 5 overall pick under contract through his fourth NBA season. Holland will continue developing as part of Detroit's wing rotation in 2026-27, with his defensive versatility and ability to contribute offensively playing important roles in determining his playing time. The 21-year-old will become eligible for a rookie-scale contract extension in the summer of 2027.

  • Holland recorded nine points (4-6 FG, 1-1 FT), three rebounds and one assist across 15 minutes in Wednesday's 128-106 preseason win over Minnesota.

Holland did all his scoring inside the arc or at the free-throw line, making four of his six field-goal attempts while collecting two offensive rebounds. The third-year wing made productive use of his limited opportunities, though Detroit's depth on the perimeter could make consistent playing time difficult to secure.
