- Karabell's notebook: Gobert's slow start, Zion's steals, and five other nuggets
Eric Karabell empties out the notebook with all that he's noticing around the NBA and what it means for fantasy.

Bridges finished with 12 points (5-8 FG, 2-4 3Pt), five rebounds, two assists and three steals across 30 minutes during Friday's 98-93 loss to the 76ers.
Bridges lead the Knicks with a season-high three steals, two of which came in the third quarter. He's been a non-factor offensively through six regular-season games, having scored in double digits only twice to open the 2026-27 season while connecting on 33.3 percent of his field-goal attempts (including 29.2 percent from three-point range on 4.0 3PA). His 6.2 points per game average currently sits at a career low, as do his averages in rebounds (2.8) and steals (0.8).

Bridges amassed 12 points (4-10 FG, 4-8 3Pt), three rebounds, four assists and one steal over 32 minutes during Tuesday's 111-97 victory over the Pistons.
Following a 0-for-10 start from beyond the arc through three games this season, Bridges was finally able to find his range to help the Knicks earn their first victory of 2026-27. The 12 points were also a season high, so the hope is that Bridges can carry this momentum going forward.

Bridges registered six points (3-7 FG, 0-3 3Pt), five rebounds, one assist and one block over 35 minutes during Sunday's 111-102 loss to the Magic.
The six points were actually a season high for Bridges, who has really struggled to get going so far this year. The forward has still yet to knock down a single three-pointer, having gone 0-for-10 from beyond the arc, but Bridges should remain a starter for the defending-champion Knicks moving forward.

Bridges racked up zero points (0-8 FG, 0-5 3Pt), one rebound, four assists and one steal in 22 minutes during Friday's 107-103 loss to the Celtics.
It was a brutal showing by Bridges, who watched as sixth man Miles McBride went off for 20 points off the bench. Bridges has now gone just 2-for-16 from the field and 0-for-7 from beyond the arc through two games on the young season, and the Knicks showed Friday they're willing to ride a hot hand in McBride when applicable.

Bridges produced four points (2-8 FG, 0-2 3Pt), three rebounds, one assist and one block in 33 minutes during Tuesday's 106-100 loss to the 76ers.
Bridges endured a forgettable shooting night as the Knicks dropped their season opener following their championship banner ceremony. The veteran wing attempted just eight shots despite logging the second-most minutes on the team, and his minus-15 rating was among New York's worst. His established starting role should provide opportunities to rebound, but fantasy managers will want to see greater offensive involvement moving forward.
