Latest news
DeRozan posted nine points (3-7 FG, 3-3 FT) and a rebound across 20 minutes in Monday's 118-110 loss to the Trail Blazers.
DeRozan endured another subpar showing in what has been a disappointing start to the season for the veteran scorer. The lack of playing time has been an issue at the start of the season, as DeRozan has failed to reach the 25-minute mark in three of his last five appearances, including the last two. That reduction in playing time, as well as his limited role offensively, limits his fantasy upside considerably.

DeRozan ended Monday's 134-114 loss to Golden State with 21 points (7-15 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 5-5 FT), four rebounds, two assists, one block and two steals across 29 minutes.
DeRozan led Denver in scoring despite coming off the bench, reaching the 20-point mark for the first time this season. The veteran forward also knocked down two three-pointers and contributed three combined steals and blocks. Although his reserve role could limit his overall fantasy ceiling, DeRozan remains capable of providing consistent scoring production.

DeRozan racked up 13 points (5-9 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 3-6 FT) and two rebounds across 28 minutes during Thursday's 96-84 loss to the Thunder.
DeRozan was relatively quiet in his Denver debut, despite ending as one of just three Nuggets to score double digits. He also turned the ball over five times during his 28 minutes on the court, capping off what was a disappointing performance. It appears as though DeRozan is going to be used as the team's sixth man, providing an offensive punch when Nikola Jokic is off the floor.

DeRozan (rest) is available for Friday's preseason game against the Lakers, Law Murray of The Athletic reports.
DeRozan received Wednesday night off but will return to action in Friday's preseason finale. He'll come off the bench while the Nuggets start Trevon Brazile in Aaron Gordon's (rest) stead.

DeRozan (rest) won't play in Wednesday's preseason game against the Clippers, Katy Winge of Altitude Sports reports.
The Nuggets' starters will all suit up versus Los Angeles, though the team will be without its top bench option. DeRozan has had a quiet preseason, averaging 4.7 points, 1.3 rebounds and 1.3 assists across 10.2 minutes per contest. However, it's reasonable to assume he will be much more productive come the start of the regular season. DeRozan is expected to play in Friday's preseason finale against the Lakers.

DeRozan recorded two points (0-4 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 2-2 FT), two rebounds and two assists in nine minutes during Sunday's 133-128 preseason win over Chicago.
DeRozan struggled offensively in limited action, missing all four of his field-goal attempts while coming off the bench. The veteran forward has played fewer than 12 minutes in each of his three preseason appearances, suggesting Denver is managing his workload ahead of the regular season. His reduced preseason minutes shouldn't necessarily indicate a diminished regular-season role.
