The Chargers signed Clifford on Wednesday.
Clifford was cut by the Colts earlier in the month, but he's already getting another shot with a new team less than two weeks later. In a corresponding transaction, the Chargers waived wide receiver Luke Grimm (undisclosed) with an injury designation.

The Colts waived Clifford on Sunday.
Clifford signed with the team in late July. The wide receiver participated in all training camp activities, but the team has decided to go in another direction as it searches for additional depth at the position. Receiver D.J. Montgomery was signed in a corresponding move.

The Colts signed Clifford to a contract Thursday.
Clifford is an undrafted free agent out of Penn State who impressed at rookie minicamp. He played in 12 regular-season and postseason games for the Nittany Lions in 2025, catching three passes for 25 yards and recording a touchdown on a blocked punt.
