The Packers waived Prather on Sunday, Ryan Wood of USA Today reports.
Prather signed with the team in July but was unable to earn a roster spot. The 23-year-old was selected by the Bills in the seventh round of the 2025 Draft but ended up spending his rookie season in the UFL with the Louisville Kings. He will now look to catch on with another team and make his regular-season debut.

The Packers signed Prather to a one-year deal Thursday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
The 2025 seventh-round pick of the Bills was cut with an injury settlement last August and eventually landed with the Louisville Kings of the UFL, for which he recorded a 9-148-0 line over nine regular-season games in what turned out to be a championship campaign for the franchise. Prather will now have a chance to work his way back onto an NFL roster, although he faces a crowded wide-receiver depth chart in Green Bay.

Prather was cut with an injury designation last week and reverted to the Bills' injured-reserve list once he cleared waivers. He's now free to sign elsewhere after playing 10 offensive snaps during the preseason after Buffalo used a seventh-round pick on Prather back in April.
