- Knockout league pickups: Prioritize running backs while they're available
A confluence of bye weeks and surprisingly poor performances make this the week to bid on a star running back

Allen completed 21 of 34 passes for 289 yards, two touchdowns and one interception in Sunday's 36-10 win over the Ravens. He added 30 rushing yards and a rushing touchdown on seven rushing attempts.
Allen capped the opening drive with a one-yard touchdown plunge on which he went airborne to stretch the ball over the goal line. He struggled as a passer in the first half, including a first-quarter interception, but Allen heated up after halftime to post his highest passing yards total since a 334-yard Week 1 performance. Allen's 11-yard touchdown pass to DJ Moore (knee) in the fourth quarter gave Allen sole possession of first place in Bills history with 259 passing touchdowns, including postseason play. He added a 23-yard touchdown pass to Dalton Kincaid on the next drive as the Bills pulled away from a Ravens team that lost top two QBs Lamar Jackson (thumb) and Tyler Huntley (toe). Allen has led the Bills to a 6-1 record heading into a Week 8 road matchup against the 6-1 Vikings.

Allen completed 23 of 33 passes for 255 yards with two touchdowns and no interceptions and rushed five times for one yard in the Bills' 33-30 win over the Raiders on Sunday.
Allen once again operated without DJ Moore (shoulder), although he did have another deep threat in Joshua Palmer back from his own shoulder issue. The one-time MVP signal-caller spread the ball around to eight different targets, and Allen ultimately played without Dalton Kincaid (rib) for a spell in the second half as well. Allen's passing numbers haven't been particularly impressive since a 334-yard showing against the Texans back in Week 1 as first-year head coach Joe Brady looks to run a balanced attack. However, the prolific quarterback still has 1,504 passing yards with a 9:4 TD:INT and another 240 rushing yards and eight additional scores going into a Week 8 home showdown with the Ravens on Sunday, Nov. 1, following a Week 7 bye.

Allen completed 12 of 19 passes for 210 yards with one touchdown and one interception while adding 10 carries for 121 yards and another score and a two-point conversion pass in the Bills' 37-34 overtime win against the Rams on Monday night.
Facing a Rams defense that had forced plenty of inefficiency through the air from both wide receivers and tight ends and operating without both DJ Moore (shoulder) and Joshua Palmer (shoulder), Allen unsurprisingly recorded a season low in completions. However, the prolific signal-caller more than made up for it on the ground with a season-high rushing yardage total, as well as his eighth rushing touchdown of the season. Allen's most crucial runs outside of his one-yard scoring dive early in the fourth quarter came on Buffalo's final drive in overtime, when he rattled off 19- and 13-yard scrambles to move the ball from the Bills' 41-yard line to the Rams' 27-yard line to set up an eventual game-winning field goal from Tyler Bass. Allen also added his seventh passing score of the season late in the third quarter on a seven-yard strike to Keon Coleman, and the two-time All-Pro will next turn his sights to a Week 6 road matchup against the Raiders on Sunday.

Allen completed 23 of 33 passes for 253 yards with a touchdown and an interception and added five carries for four yards and another score in the Bills' 29-26 loss to the Patriots on Sunday.
Allen lost No. 1 receiver DJ Moore to a shoulder injury in the first half, but he still put together a serviceable passing line that included a 34-yard touchdown pass to Keon Coleman with just over four minutes remaining that erased a 21-20 deficit. That scoring play was preceded by Allen's two-yard touchdown run late in the first half, already his seventh rushing score of the campaign. However, Allen was also responsible for snuffing out Buffalo's last chance at a comeback after New England had answered his touchdown pass with a score of its own, as he threw an interception on a deep pass intended for Joshua Palmer with 1:14 remaining. The star signal-caller will aim to atone in a tough Week 5 road showdown against the Rams on Monday night, Oct. 12.

Allen (knee) wasn't even listed on Wednesday's injury report.
Allen played every snap in last Sunday's win over the Chargers but took a shot to his knee late in the contest, causing some concern on social media. He's all good for Sunday's AFC East tilt with the reeling Patriots, who just got blown out in Jacksonville last Sunday. Fantasy's QB1 through three weeks, Allen is coming off a down Week 3 versus Los Angeles but still has a 13-point fantasy lead on overall QB2 Brock Purdy.
