Week 6 DFS Main Slate: Stack Josh Allen in Las Vegas, Ride Puka Nacua and Find Leverage in Panthers at Eagles
By Verdexed Fantasy Desk

The Week 6 DFS main slate is built around two late-afternoon games. Bills at Raiders and Cardinals at Rams both carry totals around 52.5 at most books, well above everything else on the Sunday afternoon board, and both feature a quarterback or receiver coming off a monster Monday night. With Cincinnati, Detroit, Miami and Minnesota on bye, and the London, Sunday night and Monday night games off the main slate, the player pool is thinner than usual, which makes ownership more concentrated and leverage more valuable.
Salaries were not independently confirmed for this piece, so the plays below are built on role, game environment and price tier rather than specific dollar figures. Check your site's pricing before lock.
The slate at a glance
The ten Sunday afternoon games carry a wide range of environments. The market numbers below are early-week ranges and will move with injury news.
| Game | Favorite | Spread | Total |
|---|---|---|---|
| Bills at Raiders | BUF | 4.5 to 6.5 | 47.5 to 53.5 |
| Cardinals at Rams | LAR | 12.5 to 13.5 | 52.5 |
| Bears at Falcons | CHI | 3 to 3.5 | 47.5 to 49.5 |
| Titans at Colts | IND | 6.5 to 7 | 44.5 |
| Jets at Patriots | NE | 7.5 | 43.5 |
| Chargers at Chiefs | KC | 8.5 | 41.5 to 42.5 |
| Panthers at Eagles | PHI | 1 to 1.5 | 41.5 to 42.5 |
The top two games are where most rosters will start. The question for tournaments is how to be different inside them, or whether to get away from them entirely.
Primary stack: Bills at Raiders
Josh Allen is coming off a Monday night win over the Rams in which he ran for 121 yards and a touchdown to go with 210 passing yards. That rushing floor is what separates him from every other quarterback on the slate. Las Vegas just gave up 45 points to New England in a 45-17 loss.
The bring-back is where the stack gets interesting. Buffalo allows 26.8 points per game, eighth-most in the league, and Las Vegas should be throwing late. Brock Bowers leads the Raiders in every major receiving category and in red-zone targets, but he has missed two games this season, so his practice status this week matters. Ashton Jeanty is the more volatile piece: he is averaging just 3.3 yards per carry and is still looking for his first rushing touchdown, but he has caught 22 passes for 215 yards and two scores through five games. In a negative game script, the receiving role carries his value.
A Bills stack with Allen, one Buffalo pass catcher and Bowers or Jeanty as the bring-back is the slate's most natural tournament build. Its ownership will reflect that, which is the main argument for pairing it with lower-owned pieces elsewhere.
Secondary stack: Cardinals at Rams
Puka Nacua caught 17 of 24 targets in the Monday night loss to Buffalo. There is no receiver on the slate with a comparable target floor, and he will be the most popular high-priced receiver in cash games for that reason. Matthew Stafford stacks naturally with him in a game where the Rams are double-digit favorites.
The risk is the spread. A 12.5- to 13.5-point line means the Rams could build a lead early and run the clock in the second half, which caps the passing volume. That is why a Rams stack is better paired with a single Arizona bring-back than played as a full game stack. Arizona is working through its first game since trading Marvin Harrison Jr. to Houston, and Jacoby Brissett's Week 5 production came against a weak Lions defense. Any Cardinals pass catcher is a garbage-time bet, which is a fine role for a low-owned tournament piece but not for cash.
Cash-game core: backs with confirmed volume
Rhamondre Stevenson (NE). TreVeyon Henderson has a high-ankle sprain, Stevenson was already the lead back, and New England is a 7.5-point favorite over a Jets team with one of the slate's lowest implied totals. Expect him to be popular, and his price may not fully reflect the role change.
Jonathan Taylor (IND). Coming off a 15-carry, 45-yard dud against Pittsburgh, Taylor gets an 0-5 Titans team at home. A down week is the best time to buy a back whose role has not changed.
Kenneth Walker III (KC). The Chiefs are 8.5-point favorites against an 0-5 Chargers team, coming off their bye. In a low-total game, the favored back is the cleanest way in.
Bucky Irving (TB). He turned 23 touches into 175 yards and two touchdowns against Dallas. Ownership will chase that line, but the role growth is real.
Leverage: Panthers at Eagles and Bears at Falcons
The lowest-owned stack with real upside is Panthers at Eagles. The total sits around 41.5 to 42.5, which will keep most players away. But the game is nearly a pick'em, Carolina comes off its bye, and Tetairoa McMillan entered the week with 385 receiving yards through four games. If Saquon Barkley and DeVonta Smith return for Philadelphia, the game environment improves for both sides, and Dallas Goedert has been the Eagles' most reliable pass catcher. A Bryce Young and McMillan stack with an Eagles bring-back will be a fraction of the ownership of the Buffalo and Rams builds.
Bears at Falcons is the other pivot. Bijan Robinson sits at or near the top of the week's overall fantasy rankings and entered the week among the league's leading rushers. His ownership will depend on how much salary the field spends on Nacua and Allen. If Caleb Williams is cleared to return from his hamstring strain, the total in the high 40s gives Chicago's receivers some upside too, but that piece should wait on Wednesday and Thursday practice reports.
Defense and punts. The Patriots D/ST is the slate's most obvious defense: New England allows 18.8 points per game and Jets quarterback Geno Smith has been sacked at least three times in four straight games. In tournaments, consider the Colts against a winless Tennessee team as a less popular alternative.
At receiver, Germie Bernard (PIT) led Pittsburgh with 10 targets in Week 5 with Michael Pittman Jr. and Roman Wilson sidelined, and he should be priced as a depth receiver. If either veteran misses again, he is the slate's best punt option.
The Verdexed angle
The slate rewards one high-total stack plus differentiated value, rather than trying to fit both Buffalo and the Rams into the same lineup. Cash builds should prioritize the confirmed workloads of Nacua, Stevenson, Taylor and Walker. Tournament builds should take one of the two premium stacks and get different with Carolina-Philadelphia or a Cardinals bring-back. What's next
The biggest swing factors before lock: Caleb Williams and Michael Penix Jr. in Atlanta, Barkley and Smith in Philadelphia, Bowers' availability for Las Vegas and Lamar Jackson in Cleveland, where Baltimore opened as a 3.5- to 4.5-point favorite. Wait on Friday's final injury reports before locking any player from those games into a cash lineup.
