Latest news
The Eagles didn't sign Ertz off the practice squad ahead of Monday's game against the Cowboys, EJ Smith of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
With Ertz having exhausted his three elevations from the practice squad, he would need to be signed to the 53-man roster in order to suit up for the Eagles again this season. For the second week in a row, the Eagles will bypass signing Ertz, whose chances of earning a promotion to the roster would appear to be slim moving forward after Philadelphia reinstated tight ends Eli Stowers (quadriceps/hamstring) and Grant Calcaterra (back) from injured reserve prior to Monday's contest. Over his three appearances with the Eagles from Weeks 3 through 5, Ertz saw limited playing time and contributed just three receptions for 22 yards on eight targets.

Ertz is not being elevated from the practice squad for Sunday's matchup against Carolina, Zach Berman of The Athletic reports.
After being signed to the Eagles' practice squad Sept. 22, Ertz was elevated three straight weeks and produced a 3-22-0 receiving line on eight targets. However, he's reached the maximum with the three elevations and would need to be signed to Philadelphia's active roster in order to suit up again on game day. Ertz may no longer be needed due to Dallas Goedert returning to action in Week 5. Plus, Grant Calcaterra (back) and Eli Stowers (quadriceps), both of whom are still on IR, are on the verge of being activated.

Ertz reverted to the Eagles' practice squad Monday, per the NFL's transaction log.
Ertz has been elevated and then returned to the practice squad each of the three weeks since signing with Philadelphia on Sept. 22. In Sunday's loss to Jacksonville, he logged a season-low six offensive snaps and didn't catch either of his two targets. Ertz is out of practice-squad elevations, so Philadelphia will need to sign him to the active roster in order for the veteran tight end to continue to play for the team on game days.

The Eagles elevated Ertz from the practice squad to the active roster Saturday ahead of Sunday's game against the Jaguars in London.
Philadelphia's offense will be welcoming back No. 1 tight end Dallas Goedert from a two-game absence due to a sprained MCL in his right knee, but with the team down top RB Saquon Barkley and WR DeVonta Smith as it deals with respective hamstring injuries, head coach Nick Sirianni may be forced into using more two-TE sets. Through two contests in his return to the Eagles, Ertz has hauled in three of six targets for 22 yards while playing behind Johnny Mundt, so he figures to be no more than the No. 3 at the position in Week 5.

Ertz reverted to the Eagles' practice squad Monday, per the NFL's transaction log.
With Dallas Goedert (knee) stil sidelined, Johnny Mundt made the start at tight end for Philly and played 49 of 61 offensive snaps. Ertz saw 13 snaps on offense, running 11 routes on Jalen Hurts' 32 dropbacks. He caught two of four targets for 12 yards and has three catches for 21 yards on six targets across two appearances since signing with the Eagles.

The Eagles elevated Ertz from the practice squad to the active roster Saturday ahead of Sunday's game against the Rams.
In his return to Philadelphia in a Week 4 loss to the Bears, Ertz ranked second among Eagles tight ends in offensive snaps (19 of 50) behind Johnny Mundt (26) and ahead of E.J. Jenkins (13) in the first game without Dallas Goedert due to an MCL sprain. Ertz ended up hauling in just one of two targets for nine yards, but he figures to ramp up his workload moving forward as he puts his own torn ACL from last December further in the rearview mirror.

“Value” is market slot minus our slot: positive means the market lets you draft him later than our blend ranks him. Ranks blend our projection model with ADP at backtested weights, the receipts are on methodology.
Trade value: what to ask for Zach
Our board has Zach Ertz at TE37, #271 overall in PPR, and the market leaves him undrafted. The market prices him about 11 picks higher than we do, so in a trade ask for more than his slot suggests: a fair return is a player the market ranks near #271, and you are giving up someone our model values as a #271. He projects to 139.5 points (floor 62.3, ceiling 175.2).
TEs in that range on our board right now: Theo Johnson (#259, NYG), Jonnu Smith (#262, GB), Jake Tonges (#266, SF), Erick All (#274, CIN), Mike Gesicki (#276, CIN), Jackson Hawes (#286, BUF).
