Latest news
Walter contributed 11 points (4-12 FG, 3-9 3Pt), four rebounds, two assists, one block and one steal in 33 minutes during Sunday's 131-125 loss to the Lakers.
Making his fourth straight start in place of Kawhi Leonard (knee), Walter continued to offer the Raptors some valuable long-distance shooting. The third-year wing has drained at least three three-pointers in all four starts, and through six games to begin the season, he's averaging a career-high 12.8 points and 2.8 threes a contest while shooting 41.5 percent from beyond the arc.

Walter amassed 22 points (7-12 FG, 5-8 3Pt, 3-4 FT), four rebounds, two assists, one block and two steals over 31 minutes during Sunday's 117-94 loss to Minnesota.
Walter had arguably the best game of his career, taking full advantage of a temporary move into the starting lineup. With Kawhi Leonard out due to knee swelling, Walter did his best to emulate his production, leading the team with 22 points while adding three combined steals and blocks. Assuming Leonard's absence is only short-term, Walter will likely return to the bench sooner rather than later. However, he should at least be on the radar, even in standard leagues, thanks to his impressive start to the season.

Walter will start Sunday's game against the Timberwolves.
Walter gets the start due to Kawhi Leonard (knee) being out. In two games this season, Walter has averaged 8.5 points, 3.5 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 2.5 steals in 23.5 minutes per contest.

Walter closed with 10 points (4-8 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 1-2 FT), three rebounds, four assists and three steals across 23 minutes during Wednesday's 135-92 victory over Chicago.
The third-year guard out of Baylor impressed with a well-rounded stat line despite his struggles from behind the arc. His three swipes were second on the team behind Kawhi Leonard (23/6/2/1/4), as Walter did a little bit of everything in the 43-point victory. He was one of five Raptors to score in double figures, and the only one to do so as a reserve, but it'll be interesting to see what his playing time looks like in a more competitive contest.

Toronto exercised Walter's team option Tuesday, per Blake Murphy of Sportsnet.ca.
The Raptors picked up Walter's fourth-year team option for 2027-28. With Toronto's backcourt healthy, he'll have to settle for a bench role to open the new campaign.
