Hischier opened the scoring on a first-period rush, then doubled New Jersey's advantage just 38 seconds into the second period. Hischier went pointless in the first three games of the season, but he's had nine points (seven goals, two assists) in his subsequent nine appearances. His prominent offensive role and consistent involvement in scoring opportunities continues to support a strong fantasy outlook across all formats on a red-hot Devils team that has won four games in a row.

Hischier scored a power-play goal on two shots in Thursday's 4-1 win over the Ducks.
Hischier has scored four of his five goals this season on the power play. The 27-year-old has a total of seven points, 22 shots on net, nine hits and five blocked shots over 10 outings. He's often been effective with the man advantage, but it would be a positive to see some even-strength production to stabilize his output.

Hischier scored in a 7-1 win over the Rangers on Thursday.
It was Hischier's first even-strength goal this season and fourth snipe overall (one assist; nine shots). All five of his points have come in the last five games. Hischier is a strong and consistent 65-70 point producer, and he's averaged 30 goals over the last four seasons. He's also a strong power-play producer and an excellent face-off man (56.1 percent). Hischier is a steady, high-floor pivot who will help in every format.

Hischier is slated to sign a five-year, $58.5 million contract extension with the Devils on Wednesday, Pierre LeBrun of TSN reports.
Hischier has one more year remaining on his current contract, so his extension will kick in for the 2027-28 campaign. The 27-year-old has racked up at least 60 points for New Jersey in five consecutive seasons, most recently recording 28 goals, 38 assists, 62 blocked shots, 58 hits and 29 PIM while averaging 20:43 of ice time across 82 regular-season appearances in 2025-26.
