Latest news

  • Landale is out for Wednesday's game against the Wizards with a left hip strain, Kevin Chouinard of the Hawks' official site reports.

Landale is sidelined for a second consecutive game with the injury. Zuby Ejiofor should handle the No. 2 center spot for as long as Landale is on the shelf.

  • Landale (hip) has been ruled out for Monday's game against Indiana.

Landale injured his hip in Saturday's 121-99 loss to the Pelicans, and he'll now miss his first contest of the season. Asa Newell played a season-high 19 minutes with Landale out, and the former should continue to see his playing time increase behind Onyeka Okongwu for as long as that remains the case.

  • Landale (hip) won't return to Saturday's game against the Pelicans.

Landale logged only one minute Saturday before exiting the contest. His next opportunity to get back on the floor will come Monday versus Indiana. In the meantime, Asa Newell should see more playing time behind Onyeka Okongwu.

  • Landale (nose) is available for Friday's game versus Charlotte.

Landale must've sustained a nasal fracture in Wednesday's Opening Night win over Orlando, but he's playing through the injury. He'll likely be wearing a mask until the issue is fully resolved.

  • Landale posted 10 points (4-5 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 2-2 FT), two rebounds, three assists and one block over 19 minutes during Wednesday's 132-125 victory over Orlando.

Landale provided an efficient scoring boost off the bench, reaching double figures despite attempting only five field goals. He served as Atlanta's primary reserve center behind Onyeka Okongwu, though his limited rebounding production and modest workload could restrict his value to deeper fantasy leagues.

  • Landale recorded 16 points (4-5 FG, 3-4 3Pt, 5-5 FT), six rebounds, five assists and a block across 21 minutes in Friday's 135-111 preseason win over the Mavericks.

Landale delivered an exceptionally efficient offensive performance, missing just one field-goal attempt while also thriving as a playmaker from the post. Landale's combination of perimeter shooting and passing, as well as his solid rebounding ability, could give Atlanta valuable versatility in its frontcourt rotation, although his fantasy appeal will depend on his workload. He's slated to open the season as the backup center behind Onyeka Okongwu.
