OUT

Out · expected back around Dec 14

Jackson sustained the injury early in Monday's loss to Memphis, and he's now expected to miss at least a month and a half of action. The star big man's absence creates a major void in the Utah lineup, one that is likely to be filled by a timeshare of Jaxson Hayes (shoulder), Kyle Filipowski and Mo Bamba. The Jazz could also shift Lauri Markkanen (wrist), when healthy, to the center spot at times, perhaps allowing Ace Bailey to spend more time at power forward.

  • Jackson has been diagnosed with a torn MCL in his right knee and will be sidelined for 6-to-8 weeks, per Shams Charania of ESPN.

  • Jackson has been ruled out for the rest of Monday's game against the Grizzlies due to a right knee injury.

An opposing player landed on Jackson's leg early in the second quarter, and after initially remaining in the game, he ultimately checked out and went to the locker room. The severity of the injury is unknown at this time, but Jackson has been shut down for the rest of the evening. Lauri Markkanen (wrist) also left Monday's game in the first half and is questionable to return, potentially opening up minutes for Svi Mykhailiuk, Kyle Filipowski and Brice Sensabaugh at both forward spots.

  • Jackson ended with 24 points (7-15 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 8-10 FT), 10 rebounds, three assists and three blocks across 33 minutes during Friday's 120-119 victory over the Pelicans.

The 24 points led the Jazz on the night, and Jackson was instrumental in the team's fourth-quarter comeback. The 27-year-old big has recorded multiple blocks in each of the first two games of the season, as he looks to average 2.0 rejections or better for the first time since 2022-23 with the Grizzlies.

  • Jackson provided 15 points (6-10 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 1-2 FT), five rebounds, two assists, two blocks and one steal across 28 minutes before fouling out of Wednesday's 123-103 loss to the Grizzlies.

Jackson delivered efficient scoring and a pair of blocks in his first game back in Memphis since being traded to Utah in February. However, the former Grizzlies star fouled out in the fourth quarter and committed five turnovers, limiting an otherwise productive performance. Jackson's defensive contributions and ability to stretch the floor remain valuable for fantasy managers, though foul trouble continues to be a concern.

  • Jackson posted 17 points (6-10 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 4-4 FT), three rebounds, two steals and two blocks across 21 minutes in Friday's 119-116 preseason win over the Suns.

Jackson made the most of his 21 minutes in the preseason finale, finishing as Utah's second-best scorer behind Lauri Markkanen while adding two steals and two blocks on the defensive end. Jackson's ability to contribute points, blocks and steals remains central to his fantasy appeal, and his performance offered an encouraging conclusion to Utah's preseason schedule. He's set to play a massive role in the frontcourt as long as he stays healthy -- he's coming off a 2025-26 season in which he was limited to just 48 regular-season appearances.
