  • Morant has been diagnosed with a Grade 2 left hamstring strain and is expected to miss four weeks, Portland announced Friday.

Morant left Thursday's game early with a hamstring injury, which has since been revealed to be a strain that will result in a month-long absence. The star guard leaves a major void in the Trail Blazers' starting backcourt, one that figures to be filled by Jrue Holiday for the foreseeable future.

  • Morant won't return to Thursday's game against the Grizzlies due to a left hamstring injury. He'll end with 14 points (6-14 FG, 2-5 3Pt), two rebounds and three assists in 23 minutes.

The game was already out of reach when Morant was ruled out for the remainder of the fourth quarter. The severity of his injury is unclear at this time. The 27-year-old can be considered questionable for Saturday's matchup in Utah until further notice.

  • Morant accumulated 23 points (9-13 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 4-4 FT) and four assists over 31 minutes during Tuesday's 136-129 win over the Lakers.

Morant was extremely efficient in the win, hitting nine of his 13 shots and scoring on back-to-back midrange jumpers to put Portland up five in the final minutes. The guard has fit in quickly alongside Damian Lillard and Deni Avdija, giving the Blazers another closer in a balanced attack.

  • Morant closed with 12 points (5-13 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 1-2 FT), three rebounds, seven assists and one steal over 27 minutes during Friday's 128-120 win over the Kings.

Morant took a back seat as a scorer and finished second on the team in assists behind Jrue Holiday. Portland acquired Morant from Memphis in an offseason trade that sent Jerami Grant and Kris Murray to the Grizzlies. He's still finding his place alongside Deni Avdija and Damian Lillard, and it may take a couple of weeks for his role to crystallize.

RotoWire via ESPN · Oct 24

  • Morant ended with 14 points (6-8 FG, 2-3 3Pt), five rebounds, eight assists and three steals over 23 minutes during Wednesday's 124-83 victory over Phoenix.

While backcourt-mate Damian Lillard led all scorers with 25 points, Morant led Portland in assists and had an efficient shooting night as well. Simply staying on the court will be Morant's top priority after he suited up for only 79 regular-season games over his final three seasons in Memphis, but he's healthy to begin 2026-27 and is getting a clean slate with the Blazers.
