Browns Beat the Ravens 13-10 as Tyler Huntley's Offense Stalls Without Lamar Jackson

The Cleveland Browns beat the Baltimore Ravens 13-10 on Sunday, winning on Andre Szmyt's 37-yard field goal as time expired. Baltimore, playing a second straight game without Lamar Jackson (left ankle), scored on its first two possessions behind Tyler Huntley and then went scoreless the rest of the afternoon. Both teams are 4-2, and Cleveland now holds first place in the AFC North on the head-to-head tiebreaker.

The Browns were without their own lead back. Quinshon Judkins sat out with a sprained ankle, and Audric Estime, a recent practice-squad signing from Minnesota, scored the tying 2-yard touchdown in the fourth quarter after a Derrick Henry fumble.

How the Ravens Let It Slip

Baltimore looked in control early. Huntley hit rookie tight end Josh Cuevas for a 2-yard touchdown on a fourth-and-goal for Cuevas's first career score, and Tyler Loop added a 34-yard field goal for a 10-0 lead. The Ravens outgained Cleveland 163-46 in the first half.

Then the offense dried up. Loop missed a 49-yard try that would have made it a two-score game. Leading 10-3 in the fourth quarter, Henry lost a fumble forced by linebacker Carson Schwesinger and recovered by Tyson Campbell, and the Browns turned it into Estime's tying score with 8:33 left. Szmyt missed a go-ahead attempt late, but Deshaun Watson got the ball back with 1:59 left at his own 20 and led a 10-play, 66-yard drive capped by a 33-yard third-down completion to Jerry Jeudy. A Ravens offside penalty moved the final kick to 37 yards. Yahoo's game page framed it as another blown double-digit lead for Baltimore.

The Box Score

Ravens playerKey line
Tyler Huntley19 of 31, 165 yards, 1 TD, 0 INT, 3 sacks
Tyler Huntley (rushing)5 carries, 28 yards
Derrick Henry17 carries, 58 yards, 1 lost fumble
Zay Flowers6 catches on 11 targets, 66 yards
Josh Cuevas4 catches on 5 targets, 44 yards, 1 TD
Mark Andrews1 catch on 3 targets, 4 yards

On the other side, Watson finished 16 of 26 for 164 yards and absorbed five sacks. He was 3 of 9 for 24 yards in the first half, then 13 of 17 for 140 yards after the break, adding another fourth-quarter game-winning drive to his season. Jeudy led Cleveland with 69 receiving yards, and Schwesinger made 13 tackles while playing through ankle and hand injuries.

Fantasy Fallout: Henry, Flowers and Andrews

Derrick Henry. The Ravens site called 58 yards on 17 carries a season low, and the fumble was the turning point of the game. Henry took the blame in the locker room afterward. The underlying problem is structural: without Jackson, defenses can load the box against Henry without fear of the quarterback keeper. He stays an RB1 on volume and touchdown equity, but his ceiling is clearly lower in Huntley starts.

Zay Flowers. Eleven targets is the encouraging number. Flowers led the team in catches and yards, including a 31-yard conversion on third-and-11, and Huntley clearly views him as the primary read. In a low-volume passing attack, that target share keeps him a WR2 in PPR, with Jackson's return offering the upside.

Mark Andrews. This is the alarming one. One catch for 4 yards on three targets, and he has dropped passes in consecutive weeks. Meanwhile Cuevas caught four balls and scored. Andrews is a low-end TE1 at best until Jackson returns, and managers in deeper leagues should note the rookie's growing role near the goal line.

Tyler Huntley. He was efficient early and avoided turnovers, but 165 passing yards and a scoreless final nine possessions are not a fantasy-viable profile. He is a superflex-only option.

The Browns QB Situation

Watson won the starting job over Shedeur Sanders in August, his first regular-season action since October 2024 after Achilles injuries. The early results here were rough, with five sacks taken and a first half of almost no production, but he has repeatedly closed games. Head coach Todd Monken said in August he did not expect to change quarterbacks week to week, and a winning streak at the top of the division gives no reason to now.

For fantasy, Watson remains a streaming option rather than a starter, while Jeudy is the receiver to trust in this offense. The bigger backfield question is Judkins: if his ankle sprain lingers, Estime's goal-line touchdown makes him a speculative add, though Cleveland's run game will look very different once Judkins is back. Watch his practice participation this week ahead of a road game at Tennessee, where CBS Sports reports the Browns opened as favorites.

Lamar Jackson's Week 7 Outlook

Jackson hurt his ankle in the Week 4 win over Tennessee and has not practiced since. He was not placed on injured reserve, and head coach Jesse Minter has described the injury as day to day while stressing that decisions are being made in Jackson's long-term interest. NFL Media's Ian Rapoport previously reported that he could miss multiple games, and SportsGrid characterized a Week 7 return as no better than a coin flip, with Week 8 as the latest realistic target.

The Ravens do not get a bye to buy time. Their bye is reportedly not until Week 13, and they host the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 7. Baltimore is 11-3 against Cincinnati with Jackson on the field, per Yahoo's Bengals coverage, which shows how much his availability swings this matchup. The Wednesday practice report is the first real signal: any participation at all would make him a legitimate game-time decision.

Betting Angle and the Verdexed View

The quarterback change is the single biggest input in pricing this Ravens team. With Jackson active, Baltimore's offense creates explosive plays on the ground and through the air. With Huntley, it is a field-position offense that relies on Henry and a short passing game, and Sunday showed how thin the margin becomes. Expect any Ravens-Bengals line to move sharply on Jackson news, so bettors should consider waiting for clarity rather than guessing on his status. Anyone wagering should be of legal betting age in your jurisdiction.

What's Next

Baltimore hosts Cincinnati in Week 7, and Cleveland visits Tennessee before road games at Pittsburgh and New Orleans. The AFC North now has the Browns, Ravens and Steelers all at 4-2.

The takeaway: Hold Henry and Flowers as starters, but downgrade Andrews and do not chase Huntley. Put in a speculative claim on Josh Cuevas in deep leagues, and keep Lamar Jackson in your lineup only if he logs practice time by Friday, with a Week 8 return the safer planning assumption.
