Stromgren scored the game-winning goal in Monday's 2-1 victory over the Sharks.
Stromgren made an immediate impact in his season debut, batting the puck into the net midway through the third period to give Calgary a two-goal advantage. The young winger was deployed on the fourth line alongside Jonathan Castagna and Adam Klapka, suggesting his opportunities could remain limited. He'll need to establish a more prominent offensive role before becoming a viable option in most fantasy formats.

Stromgren will provide the Flames with some depth, as Brennan Othmann (upper body), Jonathan Huberdeau (hip) and Samuel Honzek (lower body) are sidelined. Stromgren made his first three NHL regular-season appearances last year. He had two shots on goal, but he didn't earn a point while averaging 7:17 of ice time.

Stromgren made 66 regular-season appearances with the Flames' AHL affiliate last year and recorded 11 goals and 36 assists. Stromgren signed a one-year, two-way contract with the Flames on Wednesday.
Stromgren produced 11 goals and 36 assists over 66 regular-season games with AHL Calgary in 2025-26. He was tendered a qualifying offer Monday, and the Flames wasted no time in getting him under contract. Stromgren has just three NHL games to his name, but if he continues to score at the AHL level, he'll likely be in contention for a call-up.

Stromgren scored twice and added an assist in AHL Calgary's 4-3 win over San Jose on Saturday.
Stromgren has consecutive three-point efforts after an 11-game span without such a performance. For the season, the 22-year-old winger is up to 10 goals, 37 points and a plus-6 rating over 45 appearances. Stromgren has displayed growth in the last couple of AHL campaigns, so it seems to be only a matter of time before he's pushing for regular NHL minutes.
