Seguin scored a goal on two shots and added an assist in Sunday's 6-3 win over the Islanders.
Seguin has a pair of multi-point efforts this season. He was on the top line Sunday, though Seguin's usage has mostly resembled that of a middle-six forward for much of the campaign. He's up to three goals, three assists, 29 shots on net, seven hits, eight PIM and a minus-2 rating across 11 appearances.

Seguin delivered one of Dallas' strongest offensive performances, tying the game late in the first period before setting up Roope Hintz's third-period tally. Scoring aside, Seguin led all players with seven shots. Seguin has now scored in back-to-back games after beginning the season without scoring in his first four appearances, so the 34-year-old veteran is trending in the right direction following a slow start.

Seguin scored with 30 seconds left in the third period, tying the game to salvage a point in the standings for Dallas. The goal was his first point of the season. He also has 11 shots on net, one hit, one blocked shot, six PIM and a minus-2 rating over five contests. Seguin is coming back from a torn ACL that ended his 2025-26 campaign in early December. He's filling a middle-six role for the Stars, but it wouldn't be surprising if he still needs to shake off some rust given the lengthy recovery process from his injury.

Seguin (knee) participated in on-ice activities with the Stars on Thursday.
Seguin missed most of the 2025-26 campaign after undergoing season-ending knee surgery in mid-December, but the expectation was that he'd be available for the start of training camp this fall. The 34-year-old's presence on the ice Thursday suggests that he should be good to go once the Stars officially begin training camp later this month. He hasn't played in more than 27 games in either of the past two seasons, and he's recorded 16 goals, 22 assists, 23 hits, 12 blocked shots and six PIM while averaging 16:26 of ice time across 47 regular-season appearances during that time.

Seguin appeared in only 27 games during the 2025-26 regular season, providing seven goals and 17 points. He underwent surgery in mid-December to repair a torn ACL. Seguin's inability to stay healthy over the last three regular seasons will likely hurt his fantasy stock ahead of the 2026-27 campaign.

Dallas has filed the paperwork to gain full cap relief for Seguin, but in doing so, the Stars have ruled out the possibility of him returning at any point during the 2026 postseason. This is the second straight campaign that Seguin has missed a major block of time due to injury -- he played in 20 regular-season outings and an additional 18 playoff matches in 2024-25. He'll finish 2025-26 with seven goals and 17 points in 27 appearances. Seguin's contract runs through 2026-27, so he'll probably be back with the Stars next season.
