Kleven (illness) was back at practice Friday, Bruce Garrioch of Postmedia reports.
With Kleven's return to practice, he should be good to go ahead of Saturday's clash with Utah. In 16 games this year, the 24-year-old blueliner has notched two goals, one assist, and 22 shots while averaging a career-high 20:14 of ice time. Given his offensive limitations, Kleven won't offer much in the way of fantasy value, though he might generate enough hits to be of use in banger leagues.

Kleven (illness) won't play Wednesday in Buffalo, per Jackson Starr of the Senators' official site.
Kleven has two goals, three points, eight PIM, 29 hits and 43 blocks in 16 appearances in 2026-27. Carter Yakemchuk is likely to draw back into the lineup because of Kleven's absence.

Kleven snapped a seven-game point drought with the tally. He was back in a third-pairing role after spending most of the first month of the season filling in higher up the lineup due to numerous injuries on the Senators' blue line. Now, Kleven will have to maintain a decent level of play to avoid losing time to Carter Yakemchuk. Kleven has two goals, one assist, 19 shots on net, 25 hits, 38 blocked shots, eight PIM and a plus-4 rating over 14 appearances. He's not a great source of offense but can pile up non-scoring production.

Kleven scored an empty-net goal on two shots, added two PIM, doled out four hits, blocked four shots and went plus-2 in Monday's 4-1 win over the Devils.
Kleven has played an elevated role to begin this season due to numerous injuries on the Senators' blue line. He's earned two points, seven shots on net, 12 hits, 18 blocked shots, six PIM and a plus-3 rating over six appearances while averaging 21:12 of ice time, nearly four minutes more per game than last year. Kleven will probably return to the third pairing once the Senators get healthier, but he could take another step on offense after logging 18 points in 70 regular-season outings in 2025-26.

Kleven (upper body) is healthy enough to return to action in Game 3 versus Carolina on Thursday, Joshua Clipperton of the Canadian Press reports.
Kleven practiced on the fourth unit, alongside Cameron Crotty, so Kleven could be a healthy scratch. The blueliner had three goals, 15 assists, 90 shots on goal, 126 hits and 94 blocked shots over 70 regular-season games in 2025-26.
