Wedgewood is slated to start Tuesday's road game against Columbus, Colleen Flynn of Mile High Sports reports.
Mackenzie Blackwood has been named the starter for Monday's road matchup against Chicago, so Wedgewood is set to defend the crease in the second half of the back-to-back set. Across Wedgewood's four appearances to begin the 2026-27 campaign, he's gone 1-2-1 with a 3.49 GAA and .889 save percentage.

Wedgewood allowed six goals on 35 shots in Sunday's 6-2 loss to the Predators.
Wedgewood was blitzed by the Predators' power play, which cashed in four times. The 34-year-old goalie hasn't been able to recapture the magic from last year, going 1-2-1 with 14 goals allowed on 126 shots over his first four outings this season. Mackenzie Blackwood continues to be effective in a starting role and should see the majority of the games. Wedgewood will likely be back in the backup role against another one of his former teams when the Avalanche host the Devils on Wednesday.

Wedgewood will defend the road crease Sunday against the Predators, per Conor McGahey of Altitude TV.
Wedgewood will look to turn the page after being handed his first regulation loss of the season Tuesday in New Jersey. Overall, the 34-year-old netminder has a 1-1-1 record, a 2.65 GAA and a .912 save percentage across three appearances this season. While Mackenzie Blackwood has gotten the majority of opportunities between the pipes to open the season, Wedgewood has proven to be more than capable between the pipes for Colorado over the past two and a half seasons. He'll face the Predators, who traded Wedgewood to Colorado early in the 2024-25 campaign.

Wedgewood stopped 37 of 40 shots in a 4-3 loss to the Devils on Tuesday.
Wedgewood was pulled for an extra attacker around the three-quarter mark of the third before the Devils popped in the eventual winner. His teammates roared back with two quick goals in the last three-plus minutes to make the game seem closer than it actually was. Wedgewood looked sharp, especially given the heavy volume of shots, but he's still clearly the backup to Mackenzie Blackwood right now. Wedgewood remains a decent option when he does slot into the paint -- he has a 1-1-1 record with a 2.65 GAA and sharp .912 save percentage.

Wedgewood will defend the road cage against the Devils on Tuesday, Amanda Stein of the Devils' official site reports.
Wedgewood will get the start in the second half of Colorado's back-to-back, as Mackenzie Blackwood got the nod for Monday's game in Philadelphia. Wedgewood is operating as the clear-cut No. 2 netminder right now -- Tuesday will be just his third start of the season. The Devils are 3-2-0 at home so far and have generated 3.13 goals per game, which is tied for 13th in the NHL.
