Rinzel scored a power-play goal on two shots in Tuesday's 4-2 win over the Blues.
The official scoring on whether the tally came on the man advantage fluctuated during the game, as it came right at the end of a power play in the second period. For now, it's a power-play goal, and it'll count as Rinzel's first point of the season either way. The defenseman has added six shots on net, two blocked shots and a minus-2 rating over three appearances. Chicago is carrying eight blueliners early in the year, though injuries to Andrew Mangiapane (lower body) and Teuvo Teravainen (undisclosed) could lead the team to dress seven defensemen Thursday against the Islanders. Rinzel's not safe in the lineup, but he appears to have a little more security than Kevin Korchinski or Ethan Del Mastro.

Rinzel scored a goal and went plus-2 in Wednesday's 5-2 win over the Sharks.
Rinzel tallied at 19:30 of the second period to get the Blackhawks on the board. They carried the momentum into the final frame and rallied for the win. The goal ended a 12-game point drought for Rinzel, who didn't have the breakout season many expected heading into the year. He concludes 2025-26 with four goals, 14 points, 83 shots on net, 49 hits, 63 blocked shots, 44 PIM and a minus-7 rating over 54 appearances. He did see top-four minutes down the stretch even amid his slump, so Rinzel should have the edge over some of the Blackhawks' other young defense prospects for a roster spot to begin 2026-27.

Rinzel scored a goal on two shots and blocked two shots in Sunday's 4-3 overtime loss to the Stars.
Rinzel has two points over his last three games. The 21-year-old defenseman is settling back into a top-four role after the Blackhawks traded away Connor Murphy to Edmonton, opening the door for a youth movement on the blue line. Rinzel has three goals, 12 points, 58 shots on net, 40 blocked shots, 28 hits and 36 PIM over 35 appearances this season.

Rinzel logged an assist, three shots on goal and two PIM in Tuesday's 3-2 overtime loss to the Jets.
Rinzel missed the previous two games due to an illness. While listed on the third pairing, the defenseman was at 22:19 of ice time in the Blackhawks' first game sans Connor Murphy. That trade will open up ice time for Rinzel, who should be capable of playing a decent shutdown game while also chipping in offense. He has 11 points, 54 shots on net, 37 blocked shots, 34 PIM, 28 hits and an even plus-minus rating over 33 NHL appearances this season.

Rinzel (illness) is expected to play against Winnipeg on Tuesday, according to Jack Bushman of Chicago Hockey Now.
After missing the last two games, Rinzel participated in Tuesday's morning skate on the third pairing. However, he should reclaim his role on Chicago's top power-play unit. Rinzel has earned two goals, 10 points, 51 shots on net, 37 blocked shots and 28 hits in 32 NHL games this season.
