Latest news
Martone scored a power-play goal and added an even-strength assist, three hits and a plus-1 rating in Saturday's 5-4 loss to the Ducks.
Still only 19 years old, Martone had a sluggish start to his first full NHL season with just one point (a power-play goal) in his first nine games. The 2025 sixth overall pick seems to have settled in, however, striking for two goals and four points over the last four contests. The Flyers will live with his growing pains given his upside, and Martone seems entrenched in the top six and on the first power-play unit.

Martone scored a goal on four shots, added a power-play assist and notched two hits in Saturday's 3-1 win over the Senators.
Martone's rookie year has gotten off to a lackluster start, though that says more about the team around him than anything he's done wrong individually. He's largely been limited to the third line so far, which isn't helping him get more chances. Martone has two goals, one assist, 11 shots on net, 13 hits, 14 PIM and a minus-2 rating across 10 appearances, a far cry from the 10 points he racked up in nine regular-season outings at the tail end of 2025-26.

Martone scored a power-play goal Saturday in a 5-1 loss to the Bruins.
It was his first goal and point of the season. It has been a rough start to the season for Martone and his teammates, as the Flyers have a 0-4-2 record to begin 2026-27. The big winger is extremely talented, as his 10 points in nine regular-season appearances last year would attest. However, expectations must be tempered for the 19-year-old Martone in this system. Last year was clearly a mirage for the Flyers.

Martone is expected to start the 2026-27 campaign on the top line, per Jordan Hall of NBC Sports Philadelphia.
Martone has been skating on the top line with Owen Tippett and Trevor Zegras during training camp. The 19-year-old Martone has also been working with the No. 1 power-play unit to this point, so the young winger has plenty of upside heading into the 2026-27 campaign. The 2025 No. 6 pick was excellent across nine regular-season games last year, generating four goals, 10 points (four on the power play), 32 shots and a plus-4 rating. Martone has breakout potential and will certainly be a Calder Trophy candidate, so don't let him fall too far if your fantasy draft hasn't occurred yet.

Martone tallied an assist Saturday in a 3-2 overtime loss to the Hurricanes in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference second round.
Martone made an immediate impact after turning pro. He put up 10 points (four goals, six assists) in nine regular-season games and added five points (two goals, three assists) in 10 playoff games. Martone won't turn 20 until after the 2026-27 season begins, and he already looks like a veteran.
