Grubauer stopped 10 of 14 shots in Friday's 6-2 loss to the Flames.
Grubauer played a little more than half of the game before he was chased. The 34-year-old netminder had won his last three starts, but the results had indicated more luck than talent, and his luck ran out Friday. He's now 5-2-1 with a 3.24 GAA and an .886 save percentage over nine appearances (eight starts). The Kraken's next game is a rematch against the Flames in Seattle, and with some time to practice, it'll be interesting to see which goalie gets the starting nod from head coach Lane Lambert for that contest.

Grubauer is set to make his fourth start in the Kraken's last five games. He is going for a fourth straight win, though he has allowed 10 goals on 81 shots during his winning streak. This will be the first time he's faced the Flames this year -- Joey Daccord handled the crease in both of Seattle's first two wins, which came against Calgary in the first week of the campaign.

Grubauer squandered a two-goal lead during the third period, but Brandon Montour's goal in the final minute bailed the goalie out. This was Grubauer's third win in a row, but he has allowed 10 goals on 81 shots in that span. He's up to a 5-1-1 record with a 2.93 GAA and an .897 save percentage across eight outings (seven starts) this season. While the wins are nice, Grubauer is often a shaky-at-best option for fantasy managers, especially if fortunes turn sour for the Kraken. Their next game is a favorable road matchup in Calgary on Friday.

Grubauer picked up a second consecutive win with this performance. He's now started four of the Kraken's last five games, earning seven of a possible eight standings points in that stretch. That makes him the hot hand, though head coach Lane Lambert has made sure Joey Daccord doesn't sit for too long. Grubauer is 4-1-1 with a 2.76 GAA and a .907 save percentage over seven games. With the Kraken off to a 7-3-1 start as a team, whichever goalie is starting is a viable fantasy option for managers chasing wins. The Kraken will be tested in their next game when they host the Wild on Saturday.
