The Blackhawks' upcoming three-game road trip will begin Wednesday against the Panthers and conclude against the Hurricanes on Saturday, but it's currently unclear if Kane will be traveling with the team. Following Saturday's game, the Blackhawks don't play again until Nov. 12, so it wouldn't be surprising to see Kane sidelined until at least that date if he doesn't make the trip to Florida on Tuesday. Jordan Greenway will probably get back into the lineup Wednesday due to Kane's absence.

Head coach Jeff Blashill said after Monday's 5-2 loss to the Avalanche that Kane has an upper-body injury and will miss at least the next couple of games, Ben Pope of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.

Kane (undisclosed) has been ruled out for the remainder of Monday's game versus Colorado.
Kane left the game late in the second period and wasn't on the bench for the start of the third. The veteran logged 10:20 of ice time across 11 shifts prior to his departure. Chicago will begin a three-game road trip Wednesday against the Panthers -- Kane can be considered day-to-day until his status is updated.

Kane notched two assists, including one on the power play, and added two shots on goal in Thursday's 4-3 overtime win over the Jets.
Kane has three helpers over two games since Connor Bedard has returned from shoulder surgery. The two have been joined by Roman Kantserov on the top line, and that's a trio that should make some noise in fantasy. For the year, Kane is at one goal, four assists, 13 shots on net, eight PIM, a minus-8 rating, five hits and six blocked shots over eight appearances.

Kane cashed in on a turnover in the third period. While the Blackhawks lost, it was likely enjoyable and nostalgic to see No. 88 in a Chicago sweater again. The 37-year-old winger signed a two-year deal in July and will serve as a top-six option as well as a mentor for the next generation of Blackhawks. Kane's past his peak on offense but has still chipped in at least 47 points in each of his last four campaigns despite missing time in each of those seasons. The playmaker is still productive enough to be a depth option in fantasy, particularly in formats that value power-play production.
