  • Perbix scored a goal and went plus-2 in Tuesday's 4-1 win over the Hurricanes.

    Perbix has three points over his last two games. That's all of his offense this season, but he's done enough overall to stick around in the NHL after initially clearing waivers to begin the campaign. He's since exhausted the 10 appearances that comes with clearing waivers, so he would have to go through the process again if the Predators want to send him to AHL Milwaukee. With his play trending up, that seems unlikely for now. Perbix has added nine shots on net, 24 blocked shots and a minus-3 rating over 14 appearances.

  • Perbix had two assists Saturday in a 5-4 shootout win over Tampa Bay.

    The points were the defender's first this season. Perbix is the kind of defender who goes unnoticed most nights, unless there's a missed play in the defensive zone. He has 23 blocks, three hits and just eight shots in 13 contests.

  • Perbix, who was waived by the Predators on Sunday, is on the team's Opening Night roster.

    Perbix went unclaimed on the waiver wire, but rather than reporting to AHL Milwaukee, the right-shot blueliner will seemingly be with the Predators for their season opener at home against the Wild on Thursday. There are nine defensemen on Nashville's Opening Night roster, so Perbix will have to earn his ice time in the early going.
