Blankenburg exited Thursday's matchup against the Rangers due to an undisclosed injury, and while the exact nature and severity haven't yet been revealed, he'll be forced to miss at least a week. Marshall Rifai (lower body) was also placed on injured reserve Friday, so Dakota Mermis and Cole McWard were called up to provide additional depth on the Maple Leafs' blue line.
