Granlund scored a power-play goal on two shots in Thursday's 7-6 loss to the Sabres.
Granlund ended a five-game point drought with the tally. The skid followed a one-game absence from an upper-body injury, which has seemingly derailed his promising start to the campaign. Granlund remains in a top-six role with power-play time, so he should return to fairly steady production in the long run. He has three goals, six assists, 21 shots on net, nine blocked shots and a minus-6 rating over 12 appearances this season, with five of his nine points coming with the man advantage.

Granlund didn't record a point while putting two shots on net with a minus-2 rating in Monday's 5-2 loss to the Rangers.
The veteran center missed the Ducks' prior game with an upper-body injury, but he was good to go Monday. Granlund has had a strong start to the season on the second line and first power-play unit, collecting two goals and eight points in seven games -- including one goal and three assists with the man advantage.

Granlund (upper body) is expected to play against the Rangers on Monday, per Zach Cavanagh of The Sporting Tribune.
Granlund is ready to return to action after missing Friday's 4-2 loss to Boston because of an upper-body injury. He has contributed two goals, eight points and six blocked shots in six appearances this season.

Granlund (upper body) will be with the Ducks for their upcoming four-game road trip, Patrick Present of The Hockey News reports Friday.
While Granlund has already been ruled out versus the Bruins on Friday, the fact that he will be with the team is certainly good news. The 34-year-old center has registered at least a point in all six games to open the year, compiling two goals and six helpers along the way. With Granlund on the shelf, Roger McQueen figures to get some time in the NHL, though he could be returned to the minors when the veteran is cleared to play.

Granlund (upper body) wasn't on the ice for Friday's morning skate, Derek Lee of The Hockey News reports, indicating that he isn't expected to play against the Bruins.
Granlund is considered day-to-day due to his upper-body injury after missing Thursday's practice session, and it appears as though he'll be sidelined for at least one game. Roger McQueen and A.J. Greer are candidates to see increased roles Friday against Boston, while Granlund's next opportunity to return will be Monday against the Rangers.

Granlund (upper body) did not practice Thursday and is considered day-to-day.
Granlund's status ahead of Friday's clash against the Bruins is in jeopardy following Thursday's injury designation. The 34-year-old center has been a rock for the Ducks to fall back on early this season, compiling two goals, eight points, 12 shots on net and six blocked shots across six outings. Granlund's status will be monitored closely over the next 24 hours, but if he can't go Friday, either Roger McQueen or A.J. Greer would likely take his place as the team's second-line center.
