Zibanejad had a goal and an assist in a 5-4 loss to Toronto on Thursday
Zibanejad has 11 points (three goals, eight assists) and 22 shots in 12 games this season. He sits three points behind Alexis Lafreniere and Adam Fox, who both have 14. Just two of Zibanejad's points have come on the power play after he scored 35 of his 78 points with the man advantage last season. More will come when the Rangers start generating more power-play success.

Zibanejad scored an empty-net goal in Tuesday's 4-2 win over Tampa Bay.
It was Zibanejad's 14th career shorthanded goal, tying him with Don Maloney for third-most in Rangers history behind Mark Messier (23) and Adam Graves (16). He has eight points, including six helpers, and 17 shots in eight contests. Zibanejad has been instrumental in helping his team to five regulation home wins in a row to start a season. That's notable because they had just nine regulation wins at home all of last season. Their fifth didn't come until Dec. 20. Zibanejad is four seasons removed from his 91-point (39 goals) campaign of 2022-23, but he's still a high 70s player who shoots the lights out at even strength and tallies copious points on special teams.

Zibanejad notched two assists, including one on the power play, and added three shots on net, two blocked shots and two PIM in Sunday's 6-2 win over the Canucks.
Zibanejad is up to three multi-point efforts over seven games this season. While his finishing touch has been a little lacking, he's still playing a key role on the Rangers' top line and first power-play unit. The veteran center has a goal, six assists, 14 shots on net, 13 hits, seven blocked shots and a plus-3 rating.

Zibanejad notched two assists, three shots on goal and a plus-3 rating in Tuesday's 5-2 win over the Islanders.
Zibanejad has been pretty good to start the season, earning a goal and four assists over five games. He's added nine shots on net, six hits, five blocked shots and a plus-4 rating while filling a top-six role and having a spot on the top power-play unit. Zibanejad should continue to be a steady source of offense considering he's earned at least 50 points in eight straight years, including the shortened 2020-21 campaign.

Zibanejad had a goal and an assist in Thursday's 5-1 win over the Lightning.
Zibanejad opened the scoring in the first on the power play. It was a huge confidence boost for the team at home, as they didn't score at Madison Square Garden last season until 57 seconds into their fourth game. Zibanejad is fresh off a 34-goal, 78-point season, the third-highest point total of his career. This is his 16th season. His 35 power-play points last season was the second-highest total of his career.

Zibanejad generated a goal and an assist, both on the power play, and added two hits in Friday's 6-1 preseason win over the Islanders.
Zibanejad looks set to open the season as the Rangers' top center. While the team around him has gotten a remodel in recent years, Zibanejad stood out with a 78-point effort in 81 games in 2025-26. He also had 105 hits last year, topping the 100-hit mark for the first time since 2018-19. The 33-year-old can offer a little of everything, making him a quality middle-round fantasy option.
