O'Brien was in the lineup for the third time in four games in Tuesday's 3-2 win over the Maple Leafs.
O'Brien has taken on a bottom-six role in the absence of Kailer Yamamoto (upper body). In three appearances this season, O'Brien has 10 hits, seven PIM, five blocked shots and two shots on net. His playing time is rising for now, but once Utah's forward group is healthy, the 32-year-old is not a lock to stay in the lineup.

O'Brien scored a goal and added six hits in Saturday's 7-4 win over the Canucks.
O'Brien got to play Saturday due to the absence of Jack McBain (lower body). The 31-year-old O'Brien had been scratched in 18 straight games after the Olympic break, but he scored in his return to the lineup. He has three goals, one assist, 27 shots on net, 99 hits, 43 PIM and a minus-5 rating over 33 appearances. O'Brien will have a chance to play regularly while McBain and Barrett Hayton (upper body) are out.

O'Brien was scratched for the 12th consecutive game in Thursday's 4-0 win over the Golden Knights.
O'Brien's not the only regular forward in the press box for the Mammoth, as Brandon Tanev has been scratched regularly as well. Head coach Andre Tourigny clearly likes the 12 forwards he's been rolling with lately, leaving no room for O'Brien to get in. Prior to the Olympic break, O'Brien went 18 contests without a point, which didn't help his case for more playing time. He has three points, 26 shots on net, 43 PIM and 93 hits over 32 appearances this season.

O'Brien offers little offense even in the best of times, so he's not going to be a factor in many fantasy formats.
