Latest news

  • Vejmelka allowed five goals on 20 shots in Sunday's 6-3 loss to the Flyers. The sixth goal was an empty-netter.

Vejmelka was rested in Pittsburgh to begin Utah's road trip, but the game off didn't do him any good. He's now allowed at least three goals in five straight outings, going 1-4-0 in that span. Overall, he's at a 6-5-0 record with a 3.31 GAA and an .868 save percentage across 12 games. Vejmelka's still seeing a heavy workload, but his recent performance is making him tough to trust for good numbers. The Mammoth's next stop on this trip is in Toronto on Tuesday.

  • Vejmelka will defend the road net against Philadelphia on Sunday, per Catherine Bogart of the Mammoth's official site.

Vejmelka has gone 1-3-0 in his last four outings, surrendering 16 goals on 104 shots. He owns a 6-4-0 record, a 3.13 GAA and an .877 save percentage in 11 appearances this season. Philadelphia (3-8-4) ranks last in the league with 1.93 goals per game in the 2026-27 campaign.

  • Vejmelka allowed three goals on 30 shots in Tuesday's 3-1 loss to the Wild.

Vejmelka turned in a decent effort, but the Mammoth's offense didn't get on the board until late in the third period. This was the first time in Vejmelka's last four starts where he's allowed fewer than four goals. The 30-year-old netminder is at a 6-4-0 record with a 3.13 GAA and an .877 save percentage across 11 outings this season. Vejmelka continues to see plenty of playing time, though with no back-to-backs on the immediate horizon, it's possible Sebastian Cossa will get a spot start at some point during the Mammoth's six-game road trip, which begins in Pittsburgh on Thursday.

  • Vejmelka will guard the home paint in Tuesday's clash against the Wild, per Brogan Houston of the Deseret News.

Vejmelka won a narrow matchup against the Lightning in his last outing, which marked his fourth victory over his last six games. Overall, the 30-year-old netminder has a 6-3-0 record, a shutout, 3.13 GAA and a .873 save percentage across 10 appearances. Despite allowing four or more goals in each of his last three outings, he remains a solid No. 2 starting option in fantasy for the time being. He'll face off against a high-powered Wild offense Tuesday, making him a boom-or-bust option in fantasy.

  • Vejmelka stopped 28 of 32 shots in Saturday's 5-4 overtime win over the Lightning.

Vejmelka's game wasn't great on paper, but he was able to make a few good saves to help get the game to overtime. He had lost his previous two starts, and he's given up at least four goals in four of his last five outings. On the year, Vejmelka sports a 6-3-0 record with a 3.13 GAA and an .874 save percentage across 10 appearances (nine starts). The Mammoth's next game is another tough one at home versus the Wild on Tuesday.

  • Vejmelka will patrol the home crease in Saturday's clash against the Lightning, per Brogan Houston of the Deseret News.

Vejmelka has struggled over his past two outings, allowing four goals or more in each of the two losses. Outside of that, the 30-year-old backstop has been solid with a 5-3-0 record, a 3.04 GAA and an .872 save percentage over nine appearances. While his stats leave room for improvement, Vejmelka's heavy workload keeps him fantasy relevant despite his recent struggles. He'll face a tough test against the Lightning on Saturday, however, as they enter the contest averaging 3.40 goals per game this season. Vejmelka is still a solid start in fantasy, but a risky one all things considered.
