Binnington stopped 31 of 36 shots in Thursday's 5-4 overtime loss to the Devils.
Binnington has allowed at least five goals in three of his five games this season. The Blues were able to rally in the third period to salvage a point, but Jesper Bratt beat Binnington on a breakaway in overtime. Binnington is 1-3-1 with a 4.27 GAA and an .850 save percentage in five starts. It's a small sample, but if he can't get things turned around in the backup role, he'll be unplayable in most fantasy formats. Expect Joel Hofer to get back between the pipes in Nashville on Saturday.

Binnington will defend the road crease against New Jersey on Thursday, Jeremy Rutherford of The Athletic reports.
Binnington has served as the Blues' No. 2 netminder behind Joel Hofer over the first month of the regular season. However, Binnington will be between the pipes for the second time in the Blues' last eight games Thursday. Across his previous four starts this season, Binnington has gone 1-3-0 with a 4.10 GAA and .846 save percentage.

Binnington has struggled to get things going in the 2026-27 campaign thus far, as he's been stuck behind Joel Hofer on the depth chart. The 33-year-old Binnington hasn't been inspiring with his performances either, as he currently holds a 1-2-0 record, a 4.67 GAA and an .831 save percentage across three appearances. He should be avoided in fantasy for the time being, but if he could pull off a win against the injured Habs, he could start trending back towards fantasy relevance.

Binnington stopped 19 of 24 shots in Saturday's 5-2 loss to the Predators.
Nashville hadn't exactly been piling up offense prior to Saturday, which makes this performance a little unfortunate. That said, Binnington gave up one goal on a penalty shot and another on a shorthanded rush, so he's hardly the only one wearing a blue sweater to be at fault. Binnington has gone 1-2-0 with 14 goals allowed on 83 shots over his three appearances this season. He's not doing much to challenge Joel Hofer's role as the No. 1. Expect Hofer between the pipes for Tuesday's home game versus the Jets.
