Latest news
Nyman was recalled from AHL Coachella Valley on Saturday.
Nyman has been on fire in the AHL this season, compiling nine goals, two assists, a plus-3 rating and 24 shots on net in nine games. The 22-year-old forward could help rekindle Seattle's offense, especially with Jared McCann (lower body) unavailable. Nyman earned four goals, seven points, 33 shots on net and 23 hits in 28 regular-season appearances with the Kraken in 2025-26.

Nyman scored twice in AHL Coachella Valley's 5-4 shootout loss to Abbotsford on Sunday.
Nyman already has three multi-goal games in the AHL this season. He's racked up eight goals, two assists, 22 shots and 12 PIM across seven contests this season with the Firebirds. Nyman has topped the 20-goal mark twice at the AHL level and seemingly doesn't have much left to prove in that league.

Nyman scored three goals in AHL Coachella Valley's 6-2 win over Ontario on Saturday.
Nyman has five goals and an assist over two games to start the AHL season. He's making a great case for himself to be first in line for a call-up should the Kraken want to make a move. Nyman's shot makes him a potential power-play option if he arrives in Seattle, though the rest of his game will have to develop well enough to secure his spot.

Nyman scored twice and added an assist in AHL Coachella Valley's 6-5 overtime loss to Ontario on Friday.
Nyman split his time between the NHL and AHL last year, earning 33 points in 39 regular-season games with the Firebirds. He also had seven points in 28 NHL appearances. The 22-year-old winger is likely on the Kraken's short list for call-ups if injuries pile up for the big club.

Nyman scored a goal and added an assist in AHL Coachella Valley's 6-2 win over Bakersfield in Game 3 on Sunday.
Nyman's big game helped the Firebirds get to the next round of the playoffs. The winger has earned four points over three playoff outings this season, after posting 33 points in 39 regular-season games in the AHL and another seven points across 28 NHL outings. Nyman's strong shot and a bit of physicality could make him an intriguing option for middle-six minutes if he can stick in the NHL throughout 2026-27, though he still has to prove he can score with the Kraken.

Nyman was reassigned to the minors Friday.
Nyman played in 28 games for the Kraken this year, registering four goals, three assists and 23 hits while averaging 10:34 of ice time. If the 21-year-old Finn can put together a strong training camp in the fall, he could be in the mix for a spot on Seattle's Opening Night roster come October.
