Hamblin scored twice in AHL San Diego's 4-1 win over San Jose on Saturday.
Hamblin snapped a five-game skid with this performance. He's at three goals and two assists over nine contests to begin his first season with San Diego. He has never posted more than 45 points in an AHL campaign so far, giving him little chance of making an impact even if he gets called up to the NHL.

Hamblin was placed on waivers by Anaheim on Friday, according to Renaud Lavoie of TVA Sports.
Hamblin had 27 goals and 41 points in 64 regular-season appearances in 64 regular-season outings with AHL Bakersfield. The 27-year-old is projected to spend most, if not all, of the upcoming campaign in the AHL.

Hamblin signed a two-year, two-way contract with the Ducks on Wednesday.
Hamblin made 31 regular-season appearances with the Oilers during the 2023-24 campaign, but he's spent the entirety of the last two seasons in the minors. He recorded 27 goals, 14 assists and 32 PIM across 64 regular-season appearances with AHL Bakersfield last year.
