Sanderson has logged a trio of multi-point efforts over six games since he returned from a lower-body injury. The 24-year-old defenseman is looking like himself after the injury cost him time in the preseason and the first couple weeks of the regular season. Overall, Sanderson has a goal, seven assists, 13 shots on net, 11 blocked shots and six hits through seven appearances.

Sanderson delivered his strongest offensive performance of the season, and this was the second time he posted a multi-point effort over his last three appearances. The 24-year-old blueliner missed eight games from Oct. 5 to Oct. 17 with a lower-body injury, but he hasn't lost time getting back on track and has five points in his three games since returning. His combination of playmaking ability and prominent responsibilities on offense makes him an appealing fantasy option, especially since he's coming off back-to-back seasons with 50-plus points.

He missed the last eight games with a lower-body injury, though his 22:36 of ice time Wednesday suggests he's pretty close to 100 percent now. Sanderson should be reinserted into fantasy lineups immediately, as he'll get top usage on the power play and should be capable of producing more than 50 points even when factoring in the time he's missed.

Sanderson has missed the last eight games after sustaining a lower-body injury during the Senators' Opening Night matchup against the Maple Leafs on Oct. 3. However, he's been trending in the right direction and is now believed to be ready to return to game action after skating with the top defensive pairing during Monday's practice session while also running the top power-play unit. Sanderson's return will give Ottawa a boost with Thomas Chabot (upper body) expected to miss 1-2 weeks.
