Christiansen has two goals and two assists over his last six games. The Blue Jackets have been looking for stability on the third pairing, and the 27-year-old has stepped up to fill that role. He's added eight shots on net, 16 hits, 10 blocked shots and a minus-2 rating over 12 appearances this season. Christiansen will still need to compete with Dante Fabbro and Erik Gudbranson to maintain a steady spot in the lineup.

Christiansen scored a goal Tuesday in a 6-2 loss to the Maple Leafs.
Christiansen opened the scoring early in the first period with his first goal since Dec. 21, 2024. The 27-year-old defender showed some offensive chops in the AHL (46 points in 62 games in 2023-24), but none of that has translated into 159 career NHL games. Christiansen has just three shots in seven games this season while averaging 13:14. There's not much fantasy value in his game.

Christiansen logged just 4:18 of ice time in the contest, but he was able to set up Charlie Coyle's first goal. The 26-year-old Christiansen hasn't been able to build much extra trust with interim head coach Rick Bowness after the Blue Jackets dismissed Dean Evason in January.
