  • Brunet scored a power-play goal on two shots and added three blocked shots in Friday's 4-2 win over the Ducks.

This was Brunet's first career NHL goal. Both of his points through five outings have come on the power play, and he's added seven shots on net, 11 blocked shots, four hits and a plus-3 rating. The Bruins are currently carrying eight defensemen, so Brunet doesn't have a ton of job security on the third pairing, but he is doing a lot right to help himself stay in the lineup.

  • Brunet picked up a power-play assist, two shots on goal, two hits and four blocked shots in Thursday's 6-1 win over the Mammoth.

Brunet broke camp with the Bruins and has now played in the last two contests. He's logged seven blocked shots, three shots on net and a plus-1 rating in addition to his assist, which was the first point of his NHL career. The 23-year-old defenseman's time on the top power-play unit could be short, as Charlie McAvoy figures to resume that role Tuesday after the conclusion of his suspension. The Bruins could carry eight blueliners moving forward, but that could lead to part-time roles for all of Brunet, Mason Lohrei and Jonathan Aspirot.

  • Brunet signed a two-year, $1.75 million contract extension with Boston on Monday.

It's a two-way contract for the 2026-27 season before becoming a one-way agreement for the 2027-28 season. Brunet has produced 11 goals and 28 points in 55 appearances for AHL Providence this campaign. He made his NHL debut with Boston in 2024-25, posting five blocked shots in 14:23 of ice time against New Jersey on April 15, 2025.

  • Brunet scored a goal and added two assists in AHL Providence's 6-2 win over Cleveland on Sunday.

Brunet reached the 20-point mark with this performance, doing so in 36 games this season. He has earned six of those points over his last seven outings. Brunet is five points back of his total from 69 regular-season contests last season, and if he continues his strong play, the 22-year-old could play himself into a call-up.

  • Brunet was returned to AHL Providence on Wednesday, Mark Divver of the New England Hockey Journal reports.

Brunet was recalled by Boston on Monday, and he logged 14:23 of ice time Tuesday against the Devils, recording five blocked shots, a hit and a minus-1 rating. However, he'll head back to the AHL now that the Bruins have wrapped up their regular season.

  • Brunet was recalled from AHL Providence on Monday, Andrew Fantucchio of Boston Hockey Now reports.

Brunet has five goals and 24 points in 68 minor-league appearances this season. He could make his NHL debut in Boston's regular-season finale against New Jersey on Tuesday.
