Robinson scored a goal Tuesday in a 4-2 win over the Capitals.
His shot in the second period deflected off the stick of a Washington defender and into the net. Robinson was skating with Jackson Blake and Logan Stankoven with Taylor Hall (upper body) sidelined, but that assignment is likely to be short-lived. Nikolaj Ehlers has the skill to play on the second line, and Robinson is better suited for the bottom six. Still, Robinson has managed four points (two goals, two assists), 10 shots and a plus-3 rating in his last four games.

Robinson scored a goal and added an assist in Tuesday's 6-4 win over the Canadiens.
Carolina's fourth line chipped in some offense Tuesday. Robinson scored midway through the first period by tipping home a point shot from Jalen Chatfield after Mark Jankowski won a faceoff. Robinson returned the favor by setting up Jankowski in the second period. Robinson's points were his first of the season in four games. He has also been a physical force in the early going with nine hits.

Robinson (knee) was on the ice for Thursday's practice session, Ryan Henkel of The Hockey News reports.
Robinson had a procedure on his knee back in June, but it seems the winger is good to go, suiting up on the first line on the opening day of training camp. In his 67 regular-season appearances last year, the New Jersey native notched 12 goals and six helpers. If he can play all 84 games this year, Robinson could get back over the 30-point threshold.

Robinson underwent a knee surgery and will be out for 6-8 weeks, Cory Lavalette of the North State Journal reports Friday.
Robinson's recovery timeline should have him available for the start of the regular season, but his offseason training will be impacted. That could lead to him seeing less usage in preseason play. Assuming he's healthy in time, he should fill a bottom-six role to start the 2026-27 campaign.
