  • Pettersson notched two assists, including one on the power play, and blocked three shots in Tuesday's 5-4 loss to the Ducks.

Pettersson's six-game point streak got snapped Saturday against the Maple Leafs. He bounced right back, which is a great sign for a player who has had too many extended slumps in recent years. Pettersson is now at four goals, 14 assists, 24 shots on net, 36 hits, 24 blocked shots and a minus-2 rating through 17 outings. A point-per-game pace and well-rounded production is Pettersson at his best, but cautious fantasy managers may still want to sell high.

  • Pettersson produced two assists, two shots on goal, two PIM and a plus-2 rating in Tuesday's 6-5 overtime win over the Ducks.

Pettersson's point streak is up to five games (two goals, four assists). The center earned his third multi-point effort of the year, chipping in the pair of helpers during the Canucks' comeback surge in the third period and overtime. Pettersson is now at four goals, 11 assists, 20 shots on net, 33 hits, 15 blocked shots and a minus-1 rating over 14 appearances. This is the best he's looked in years, but it's still fair to question if he can sustain the hot start all season.

  • Pettersson scored a power-play goal, added two PIM and doled out two hits in Thursday's 5-2 loss to the Red Wings.

Pettersson has two goals and an assist over his last three contests. The 27-year-old center has been relatively steady on offense to begin 2026-27, a welcome change compared to recent years. He's now at four goals, eight assists, 17 shots on net, 32 hits, 12 blocked shots and a minus-3 rating through 12 appearances. Half of his 12 points have come with the man advantage, but if it keeps him productive, that's good enough. He's shown point-per-game potential before, but his 23.5 shooting percentage is bound to decline eventually.

  • Pettersson scored a power-play goal in Saturday's 4-2 loss to the Lightning.

Pettersson has a deceptive 10 points in 10 games this season. All three of his goals have come on the power play, and he has just two points (one goal, one assist) in his last five games. Pettersson does have a remarkable 30 hits, which projects to a mind-blowing 240-plus for the season. He won't deliver that, but smart managers will remember that Pettersson's best offensive seasons (102 and 89 points) also included strong hit totals (74 and 125, respectively). He's at his best when he's physically engaged.

  • Pettersson picked up two assists in Thursday's 7-2 loss to the Hurricanes.

The 27-year-old center had a hand in Jake DeBrusk tallies in the second and third periods, although the Canucks were already in a 4-0 hole before they got on the board. Pettersson is turning back the clock to begin 2026-27 after a couple rough campaigns, putting together a five-game point streak that features two goals and eight points along with 21 hits, eight shots on net, six blocked shots and a plus-3 rating. The talent that allowed him to rack up 39 goals and 102 points in 80 regular-season contests back in 2022-23 may be re-awakening.

  • Pettersson scored a power-play goal, added two assists and doled out eight hits in Thursday's 9-7 loss to the Oilers.

Both of Pettersson's tallies this season have come on the power play. The Oilers' defense isn't anything to write home about, but Pettersson starting the year with four points over two games should give him some confidence. Prior to his plunge on offense over the last two seasons, he displayed point-per-game potential. It may be tough to get to that level this year, but it's worth it for fantasy managers to see if they can buy low on the 27-year-old if he's setting the foundation for a rebound year.
