Cozens opened the scoring with his fourth goal of the season, then assisted on Stutzle's second-period tally. The center has scored three goals in his last two appearances and four in his last four, suggesting his offense is gaining momentum. His five shots were particularly encouraging, and continued opportunities alongside Stutzle on the first line could help him sustain elite fantasy production. Cozens scored twice, supplied an assist and added four hits in Thursday's 6-5 overtime loss to the Kings.
One of Cozens' tallies came on the power play. He was a central figure in the Senators' third-period rally to force overtime. The 25-year-old center is getting his season on track after a slow start. He's up to three goals, five assists, 30 shots on net, 39 hits, eight PIM and six blocked shots over 14 appearances. Cozens has the potential to put up big numbers offensively and in the physical categories from a second-line role.

Cozens played a hand in each of Ottawa's goals on Monday, as he picked up the lone helper on William Eklund's first preseason goal before later scoring himself. The 25-year-old Cozens took a step forward during his first full season with the Senators, as he posted 28 goals, 59 points, 205 shots on net and 215 hits across 82 regular-season games. With Brady Tkachuk's departure to Florida, Cozens will likely have a larger role offensively in 2026-27, which could lead to him building upon his already impressive fantasy file in all league formats.
