Dube (neck) will be out of action for at least eight weeks, the team announced Saturday. Dube was placed on injured reserve Saturday, per the NHL media site.
Dube sustained a neck injury in Thursday's 3-2 overtime loss to San Jose. He has contributed one goal, one shot on net and three hits in three appearances this season. Due to Dube's absence, Zach Dean will play against Columbus on Saturday.

Dube is doubtful for Saturday's game against the Blue Jackets due to a neck injury, Lou Korac of NHL.com reports.
Dube is undergoing an MRI for a neck injury that he sustained during a collision in Thursday's overtime loss to the Sharks, and it appears as though he'll be unavailable for at least one game. Across his first three appearances of the regular season, he recorded a goal, three hits and two PIM while averaging 11:32 of ice time. Zach Dean is slated to draw into the lineup for Saturday's matchup.

Dube scored a shorthanded goal in Thursday's 3-2 overtime loss to the Sharks.
The goal was his first point of the season, and it came on his first shot. He's added three hits, two PIM and a minus-1 rating over three appearances. Dube is filling a fourth-line role, and while he'll compete with Zach Dean and Ross Johnston for playing time, all of those depth forwards should have some stability in their roles during Alexey Toropchenko's (upper body) absence of at least six weeks.

Dube signed a one-year, $850,000 contract with the Blues on Wednesday.
Dube spent the 2025-26 regular season with AHL Springfield, where he recorded 20 goals, 17 assists and 10 PIM across 46 appearances. He could have the opportunity to compete for a role with the Blues during the 2026-27 campaign.

Dube is expected to sign a contract with AHL Springfield, according to NHL Insider Frank Seravalli on Tuesday.
Dube last suited up in the NHL with Calgary in 2023-24, posting three goals, seven points and a minus-13 rating over 43 appearances. He most recently played with KHL Minsk, accounting for four markers, seven helpers, 25 PIM and a minus-12 rating across 42 appearances.

Dube, who was acquitted of sexual assault charges in the Hockey Canada trial, will be eligible to appear in NHL games starting Dec. 1, Chris Johnston of The Athletic reports Thursday.
Per Johnston, contracts can be registered with the NHL on Oct. 15, and the five players can begin conditioning with a team Nov. 15 and appear in a game Dec. 1. As such, Dube won't be able to link up with a team until after the 2025-26 regular season starts, which could limit his options. Last season, Dube headed to the KHL to continue his playing career, logging 42 games for Dynamo Minsk.
