Carlile scored a goal on two shots and went minus-2 in Monday's 5-4 loss to the Mammoth.
Carlile snapped a six-game skid with the tally. He had opened the season on a three-game point streak. Carlile is seeing top-four minutes at even strength, but he's unlikely to be the Penguins' leader on offense from the blue line. He has three goals, two assists, 15 shots on net, 20 blocked shots, 11 PIM, eight hits and a minus-4 rating through 10 appearances this season.

Carlile scored a goal on three shots and added an assist in Monday's 3-2 loss to the Jets. He also blocked three shots.
The defenseman earned the primary assist on Ben Kindel's second-period tally before scoring from the slot to tie the game at 2-2 with 11:07 remaining in the third. Carlile has enjoyed a tremendous start to his Penguins tenure, scoring in consecutive games and cracking the scoresheet in each of his first three regular-season appearances. Carlile has already surpassed his scoring output from the 2025-26 season, when he had just one goal across 42 regular-season contests with the Lightning.

Carlile potted a goal, placed three shots on net and recorded three blocked shots in Saturday's 6-5 overtime win over the Canadiens.
After Carlile picked up an assist during his Penguins debut Wednesday, he found the back of the net early in the second period Saturday to give his new team a 2-1 lead. The 26-year-old blueliner seems to be benefitting from a change of scenery, as he was held to just one goal and three points across 42 regular-season games with Tampa Bay in 2025-26. While he's played more of a defensive role to begin his NHL career and hasn't exceeded three points in a regular season, that could change with Pittsburgh, as he's currently occupying a spot on the team's top pair alongside Erik Karlsson.

Carlile put pen to paper on a two-year, $3 million contract with Pittsburgh on Wednesday, Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet reports.
Carlile played in just 42 regular-season games for the Lightning in 2025-26, producing one goal, two assists, 51 hits and 38 blocks. The Penguins certainly aren't bringing the 26-year-old blueliner into the lineup for his offensive upside, and neither should fantasy managers.

Carlile (lower body) was activated off long-term injured reserve Thursday, Erik Erlendsson of LightningInsider.com reports.
Carlile has been sidelined since mid-March due to his lower-body injury, but he'll be able to return to game action with just under a week remaining in the regular season. Across 38 appearances this year, he's recorded a goal, two assists, 46 hits, 30 blocked shots and 23 PIM while averaging 14:37 of ice time.

Carlile has a goal, three points, 23 PIM, 46 hits and 30 blocks in 38 outings in 2025-26. His exit from the lineup coincides with Erik Cernak returning Saturday versus Carolina from an undisclosed injury. Carlile will be in the mix for a third-pairing spot once he's healthy.
