  • Lindgren turned aside 10 of the 12 shots on net he saw in Tuesday's 6-5 loss to Dallas.

Lindgren entered Tuesday's game early in the second period after Oettinger conceded his fourth goal of the night. Lindgren did well to slow the bleeding, as he allowed just one tally in each of the final two periods. Overall, the 32-year-old netminder now owns a 3-2-0 record, a 3.08 GAA and an .881 save percentage. While Thompson's struggles have left the door open for Lindgren to steal more work between the pipes, the latter hasn't inspired in his limited work this season. He remains off the fantasy radar until he can consistently earn wins through a strong save percentage.

  • Lindgren stopped 24 of 27 shots in Thursday's 4-3 win over the Predators.

Lindgren earned his third consecutive win with this performance. He's given up at least three goals in each of his victories this season, but this was a good result in the second half of a back-to-back. He also has a hard-luck loss on his ledger. Lindgren should continue to see backup duties behind Logan Thompson, who returned from a brief absence Wednesday versus the Flyers. The Capitals' next game is a big test when they host the Wild on Sunday.

  • Lindgren is slated to start on the road against Nashville on Thursday.

Lindgren is 2-1-0 with a 2.98 GAA and an .886 save percentage in three appearances this season. He's coming off a 4-3 overtime win over Buffalo in his last start Saturday in which he stopped 18 of 21 shots. Nashville is 4-3-5 while averaging 2.83 goals per game this campaign.

  • Lindgren stopped 18 of 21 shots in Saturday's 4-3 overtime win over the Sabres.

Lindgren has won his last two outings, though those have been his two worst games of the season so far from a puck-stopping perspective. He's gone 2-1-0 with nine goals allowed on 79 shots. Lindgren would see No. 1 duties if Logan Thompson's lower-body injury keeps him out any longer, though Thompson is eligible to be activated from injured reserve ahead of Wednesday's game versus the Flyers. That's the first half of a back-to-back, so Lindgren should be getting at least one more start in the very near future.

  • Lindgren will patrol the home crease against Buffalo on Saturday, per Sammi Silber of The District Standard.

Lindgren has surrendered six goals on 58 shots in his 1-1-0 start to the 2026-27 campaign. In his last outing, he made 26 saves in a 5-4 win over Montreal on Oct. 14. Buffalo (4-4-2) ranks 21st in the league with 2.80 goals per game this season.

  • Lindgren stopped 26 of 30 shots in Wednesday's 5-4 win over the Canadiens.

The Capitals never really had control of the game, but they were able to score enough to get Lindgren his first win of the year. Over two starts, he's allowed six goals on 59 shots. The 32-year-old will continue to back up Logan Thompson, which will lead to few opportunities for Lindgren to play. The Capitals have at least three days' rest for each of their next four games, so it's possible Lindgren doesn't get another start until the team's back-to-back Oct. 28 and 29.
