Gallagher notched an assist in Tuesday's 6-3 loss to the Hurricanes.
This was Gallagher's second helper of the season. The 34-year-old winger has filled a bottom-six role with virtually no power-play time to speak of early in the campaign. In 10 appearances, he's racked up 10 shots on net, 16 hits, five blocked shots, six PIM and a minus-3 rating.

Gallagher was traded to Vancouver from Montreal on Monday, with the Canadiens retaining 50 percent of his salary, in exchange for future considerations, Renaud Lavoie of TVA Sports reports.
Gallagher's departure is a pure salary dump for the Canadiens, who will be on the hook for just $3.25 million of his cap hit this year. With the rebuilding Canucks, the 34-year-old winger could see some more opportunities and will have a chance to get back over the 30-point threshold after missing that mark in 2025-26.

Gallagher scored a goal in a 3-2 win against the Lightning on Wednesday in Game 5 of the Eastern Conference First Round.
After being a healthy scratch for the first four games of the series, Gallagher made an immediate impact. He opened the scoring at the 3:00 mark of the first period. He logged just 6:48 of ice time and delivered three hits. Gallagher played once in the team's final five outings of the regular season. Still, he might have earned himself another look, even if his role remains reduced.

There's no guarantee that the aging winger will dress to start the playoffs. However, Gallagher is one of the playoff veterans on a young team. The 33--year-old winger had a hand in three straight goals by the Habs, wrapping up his big night with his second power-play tally of the season midway through the third period. Gallagher is no longer much of an offensive threat and has settled into a bottom-six role, putting up six goals and 19 points through 57 games so far in 2025-26.
