Yager was recalled from AHL Manitoba on Thursday.
Yager will see his second stint in the NHL this season after he appeared in the Jets' 3-2 loss to the Stars on Oct. 22. He's been highly effective in the AHL this season, as he's compiled seven goals and 12 points over 10 games. The 21-year-old forward is a player who could carve out a role at the NHL level over time, but he'll likely continue to split his time between the Jets and Moose for now.

Yager was loaned to AHL Manitoba on Friday.
Yager was called up by the Jets on Monday, and he was held scoreless with a shot on goal in 14:38 of ice time during his lone appearance with the NHL club. He'll be sent back down Friday to help make room for the Jets' multiple players acquired in their trade involving Connor Hellebuyck. Yager has been productive with Manitoba early in the 2026-27 campaign, recording five goals, four assists and four PIM across six regular-season appearances, and he'll be a candidate to rejoin the Jets if they need additional depth at some point.

Yager was summoned from AHL Manitoba on Monday.
In a corresponding move, Winnipeg moved Josh Morrissey (wrist) to injured reserve. Yager has notched five goals and four assists in six AHL appearances this campaign. He could make his NHL season debut as early as Tuesday's road matchup against St. Louis, but it's unclear if he will be in the lineup. He could be with the Jets just for insurance during the team's three-game road trip.
