Pachal notched three assists in AHL Calgary's 6-4 win over San Jose on Wednesday.
Pachal cleared waivers Oct. 6 after getting pinched out of the Flames' lineup. The 27-year-old blueliner has played in three games for the Wranglers, though Wednesday was the first time he got on the scoresheet. If injuries strike the big club's defense, he'll be a candidate for a call-up.

Pachal was placed on waivers Monday, per Pat Steinberg of QR Calgary 770 AM.
Pachal has been a healthy scratch in three straight games to begin the 2026-27 campaign. He contributed one goal, six assists, 29 shots on net, 40 blocked shots and 89 hits in 39 regular-season appearances for the Flames in 2025-26.

Pachal scored a goal, dished two assists and went plus-2 in Sunday's 4-1 win over the Mammoth.
Pachal had just four assists in 36 games for the whole season prior to this contest. He added helpers on goals by Matthew Coronato and Mikael Backlund before capping the Flames' scoring on a goal midway through the third period. Pachal has played in just five of the last 15 games for the Flames, but he could finish the year in a third-pairing role since injuries have started to stack up on the blue line. He's at seven points, 28 shots on net, 88 hits, 35 blocked shots, 47 PIM and a minus-1 rating over 37 appearances.

Pachal has played in five straight contests. He has received an uptick in usage after the Flames dealt MacKenzie Weegar to the Mammoth, though Pachal's role is far from safe with younger options in Zayne Parekh and Hunter Brzustewicz competing for minutes. Through 32 outings this season, Pachal has four assists, 24 shots on net, 79 hits, 27 blocked shots, 43 PIM and a plus-2 rating, primarily from a third-pairing role.

Pachal was scratched Thursday versus the Wild, sitting out for the 20th time in 26 games since the start of December.
Pachal has been unable to carve out much playing time this season. He's at just three assists with 16 shots on net, 61 hits, 35 PIM and 22 blocked shots over 25 appearances. Zayne Parekh (upper body) is set to rejoin the Flames on Saturday after a conditioning stint, so Pachal's path to playing time will get even more difficult in the near future.

Pachal was scratched just once in November, but he's fallen out of favor. Even with Zayne Parekh away with Team Canada and Jake Bean (undisclosed) on injured reserve, Pachal has lost his place in the lineup to rookie Hunter Brzustewicz. Barring additional injuries on the blue line, it's unclear when Pachal may next get to play, and he's unlikely to see more than third-pairing minutes when he does draw back in.
