Nadeau was assigned to AHL Chicago on Wednesday.
Nadeau spent just over a week with the NHL club and recorded no goals, two assists, four hits and a blocked shot while averaging 14:07 of ice time across three appearances with the Hurricanes. However, he'll head back to the minors after Seth Jarvis (shoulder) was activated from the injured non-roster list and Skyler Brind'Amour was recalled by Carolina on Wednesday.

Nadeau's call-up will give the Hurricanes some help up front. It's not clear what the move means for the status of Taylor Hall (upper body), who left Tuesday's game versus the Capitals. If Hall misses time, Nadeau is poised to get a look in the lineup, potentially in a second-line role.
