Kindel produced a goal and an assist in Thursday's 4-3 overtime loss to the Mammoth.
Kindel saw his first game action since Oct. 19, after a scary incident on the team plane in which he lost consciousness due to a sudden drop in blood pressure and heart rate. He seemed fully recovered in Thursday's contest, setting up Erik Karlsson for the Penguins' opening goal in the second period, before giving his squad a 3-2 lead with just 25 seconds left in the third. The 19-year-old Kindel will have his health monitored closely, but if he avoids further issues, he should continue to skate on the second line and hold down a spot on the second power-play unit. Through 10 games this season, Kindel has produced three goals and six points.

Kindel is expected to play in Thursday's home clash against the Mammoth following his vasovagal episode on Oct. 20, per Michelle Crechiolo of the Penguins' official site.
Following his loss of consciousness on the team's flight on Oct. 20, Kindel is feeling like himself and is trending towards making his return in Thursday's clash. The 19-year-old center will provide a boost for the Penguins' center depth upon his return Thursday, as he's posted two goals, four points and 23 shots on net across nine appearances this season. He's expected to center a line with two other players making their return to the lineup, Egor Chinakhov and Evgeni Malkin, which puts Kindel at the heart of a strong trio, raising his fantasy stock moving forward.

Kindel returned to practice Tuesday and feels normal following his vasovagal episode on Oct. 20, per Wes Crosby of NHL.com.
Kindel is thankfully feeling like himself a week after losing consciousness on the team plane due to a sudden drop in blood pressure and heart rate. His presence at practice Tuesday indicates that he's feeling much better and could be ready to return in the near future. Prior to the incident, the 19-year-old center had compiled two goals, four points and 23 shots on net across nine games this season. If he continues to progress in his recovery, he'll have a chance to return to the Penguins' lineup in Thursday's clash against the Mammoth.

Kindel (undisclosed) was placed on injured reserve Thursday.
Kindel was cleared to fly back to Pittsburgh on Wednesday and is receiving treatment locally, Josh Yohe of The Athletic reports. While he won't be an option for the Penguins' next two games as a result, it could certainly be longer, as the club will take a cautious approach to his return to play.

Kindel suffered a medical episode during the Penguins' flight back to Pittsburgh, which resulted in the forward being hospitalized Tuesday.
According to the team, Kindel is alert and stable at the University of Utah Hospital, where he is undergoing further medical evaluation. The team should provide an update when there is more information on Kindel's status.

Kindel scored a goal on two shots and added an assist in Monday's 3-2 loss to the Jets.
Kindel missed the season opener due to a lower-body injury, but he's come out of the gate hot. He has two goals, one assist, seven shots on net and three hits over his first two outings of the season. Kindel is playing on the third line currently, but he also works on both sides of special teams, so he's in a position to rack up a bit more all-around production than his current even-strength role would suggest.
