  • Hyry scored an empty-net goal on four shots, dished an assist, went plus-2 and added three hits in Saturday's 3-1 win over the Blue Jackets.

Hyry ended a five-game point drought with the effort. The 25-year-old forward has gotten on the scoresheet in just three of 14 games, but two of those instances have been multi-point efforts. He has a career-high four goals with one assist, 26 shots on net, 29 hits, seven PIM and an even plus-minus rating to start the campaign. He's firmly in a bottom-six role while the Stars deal with some injuries to forwards.

  • Hyry scored two goals in Saturday's 4-0 win over Chicago.

The 25-year-old has only six career NHL goals in 33 regular-season games, but three of them have come in the last two contests. Hyry converted a 2-on-1 break midway through the second period on a nice feed from Sam Steel, then snapped a backhand past Spencer Knight early in the third after a bad line change by Chicago created a partial breakaway. The three tallies are Hyry's only points this season in eight games, but he's added 21 hits, 13 shots on net, seven PIM and a plus-2 rating while filling a middle-six role.

  • Hyry scored a shorthanded goal on two shots and added two hits in Wednesday's 3-2 shootout win over the Avalanche.

Hyry missed out on the Stars' Opening Night roster, but he was the first call-up when Matt Duchene (abdomen) landed on long-term injured reserve. The 25-year-old Hyry has played in all seven of the Stars' games, logging a goal, eight shots on net, 17 hits, four blocked shots, seven PIM and an even plus-minus rating. He should continue to feature as a bottom-six forward.

  • Hyry was recalled from AHL Texas on Thursday.

Hyry was sent to the minors Monday, but he'll rejoin the NHL club a few days later. He made 20 regular-season appearances for Dallas last year, recording three goals, two assists, 32 hits, six blocked shots and two PIM while averaging 11:47 of ice time.

  • Hyry was loaned to AHL Texas on Monday.

Hyry signed a two-year, $1.8 million contract in July to remain with the Stars, and he's slated to begin the regular season in the minors. Across 27 regular-season appearances with Texas last year, he recorded nine goals, 10 assists and 13 PIM.

  • Hyry (lower body) signed a two-year, $1.8 million contract with the Stars on Wednesday.

Hyry completed his entry-level contract, which made him a restricted free agent. He had three goals, five points, two PIM and 32 hits in 20 regular-season appearances in 2025-26. Hyry will have to earn his roster spot with the Stars during training camp, but there's a fair chance that he'll end up spending all of 2026-27 in the NHL.
