Frondell scored two goals, one on the power play, in Saturday's 5-4 overtime loss to the Bruins.
The 19-year-old center peppered Michael DiPietro with nine shots on goal, and two of them found the back of the net. Frondell had just one goal and six points through the first 13 games of the season. He had been held off the scoresheet entirely in the prior six contests, but growing pains are to be expected in his first full NHL season. Frondell's first-period tally, a blistering one-timer from the faceoff dot, was his first career power-play goal.

Frondell distributed two assists in Tuesday's 5-3 win over the Penguins.
Frondell's hot start to the 2026-27 campaign continued Tuesday, as he logged his third multi-point game of the season. Both assists were primary. Overall, the 19-year-old Frondell has a goal, six points, 11 shots on net, eight hits and four blocked shots across seven appearances this campaign. He's carried the momentum he generated at the end of last season into the new campaign.

That's a second consecutive multi-point effort for Frondell, who looks to be getting more comfortable in a second-line spot. The center has a goal, three helpers, six shots on net, five hits and an even plus-minus rating across four contests this season. The 19-year-old rookie should already be rostered in dynasty formats, but he has the potential to produce enough offense to make waves in redraft leagues as well, although his role could change once Connor Bedard (shoulder) is cleared to make his season debut.

Chicago was outscored 11-2 by Vegas and Utah in its first two defeats of 2026-27. The Blackhawks mustered just 15 shots on goal for Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen on Saturday. Frondell logged 16:06 of ice time while posting one shot and one hit against the Sabres. The assists were his first points this season. The team's compete level was far better Saturday than earlier in the week, and Frondell's job will get easier when Connor Bedard (shoulder) returns. Until then, temper expectations.
